Cortaderia selloana, commonly known as pampas grass, is a flowering plant native to southern South America, including the Pampas region after which it is named. There are around 25 species in the genus Cortaderia.
It is a tall grass, growing in dense tussocks that can reach a height of 3m. The leaves are long and slender, with very sharp edges. The leaves are usually bluish-green, but can be silvery grey. The flowers are produced in a dense white panicle 20–40 cm long on a 2–3 m tall stem.
EH83 is seen at Park Hill, Clapham Common working a 35 towards Shoreditch, with LT971 behind on the 417.

Sometimes we lose context in our critiques and judge these vintage cameras like they are new models on the shelf. It shouldn’t matter now what the comparisons were between them 50 to 100 years ago, or how they may compare to cameras made today. Now they are all beautiful collector items and an important part of history!

Zenit 3M is a 35mm film SLR made by KMZ and produced between 1962-70 with quantity of 781.678 units. Zenit means Zenith, a point in the sky that appears directly above the observer.
Due to shop refurbishment, 3M will be closed for the summer for the time being. We will keep you posted ;D

NGC6334 | LRGB
With a catalogue number of NGC 6334, the Cat's Paw Nebula is an emission nebula and star-forming region located in the constellation Scorpius, and is located some 5,500 light years away. So not just around the corner. ;-)
Out of processing galaxies and nebula, I find the brightly coloured red emission nebulae the most difficult to process. Looking to some other notable versions of this object, I notice some having a centre region brightly coloured dark blue and some inclusive of shades of yellow? My data revealed no such colour tones. Having my equipment located at a very reasonable dark sky location, I am unsure how naturally these colours could be achieved. This colour result is faithful to my original data set, however plus the normal amount of saturation boost to make it more appealing to my failing eyes. :-)

Westlich des 60-Seelen-Dorfes Nondorf (GM Irnfritz, HO) steht an der Landesstrasse 8038 nach Oedt an einer kleinen Kreuzung dieser etwa 3m hohe gemauerte Nischenbildstock des späten Biedermeiers. Er ruht in 547m SH im Ried "Grundfeld" auf einem hohen Grundfundament auf dem der Bildstock aufgemauert ist. Er hat an seiner Giebelvorderseite eine gefasche Segmentbogennische an dessen Rückwand ein polychromes Bild des Hl.Antonius von Padua zu sehen ist. Er ist umrahmt mit weissen Lilienornamenten. Antonius ist bekleidet mit seiner Kapuziner-Kutte und einem Zingulum um seine Hüften. In seiner Hand hält er das Ordensregelbuch. Er ist der Patron der Reisenden, der Bäcker, der Viehkrankheiten und soll helfen bei Kriegsnot. Laut Rotter wurde das Bild von Frau Ingeborg List gemalt. Davor eine moderne Glastüre. Über der Nische ist eine Stiftungsplatte eingelassen mit folgenden eingravierten Text: "Hl.Antonius bitte für uns" Darunter: Erbaut 1851, Renovirt 24.IX.1905. Über der Stiftungsplatte ein einfacher Dreiecksgiebel. Die restlichen drei Seiten des Bildstockes sind glatt abgemauert. Geschützt wird der Bildstock durch ein ziegelgedecktes Satteldach. Der Bildstock ersetzt ein altes barockes Holzkreuz. Ursprünglich stand in der Nische eine grosse polychrome Holzstatue des Hl.Antonius die leider 1980 entwendet wurde. "Geschützt" wurde damals die Statue durch eine verglaste Holzrahmentüre. Vor dem Bildstock war noch eine steinerne Kniebank zu sehen. Am First war einst ein eisernes einfaches Kreuz zu sehen. Zuletzt wurde der Bildstock 1981 restauriert.

Celui que beaucoup considèrent comme le plus beau des télémétriques soviétiques.
Incontestablement, c'était un progrès considérable par rapport aux modèles précédents. Le télémètre est intégré au viseur, la visée est facile, il tombe bien en main tout en restant compact. Le dos s'ouvre entièrement pour effectuer le chargement, ce qui est nettement plus facile que le chargement par la semelle du Zorki-1. À l'usage, cependant, j'ai quelques réserves.
Le viseur est de belle taille, beaucoup plus lisible que celui du Zorki-1, mais même en collant l'œil tout contre l'œilleton, on ne voit pas les bords du cadre, et ça me met mal à l'aise pour cadrer. C'est sans doute une impression sans conséquence réelle, mais bon...
La molette de vitesse donne une impression de fragilité. Cela dit, il offre une plage de vitesses appréciable allant de la seconde au millième, et elles sont ordonnées de façon logique de la plus rapide à la plus lente, alors que sur le Zorki-4, elles sont bizarrement disposées du 1/1000ème au 1/50ème, puis du 1/10ème à la seconde, enfin le 1/25ème et la pose. J'imagine que si on a adopté cela, c'est que mécaniquement, ça permettait de corriger la fragilité du Zorki-3M.
Enfin, le cadre de la photo a des coins arrondis, et comme j'ai l'habitude de conserver le bord du négatif à l'impression, je n'aime pas ça.
Bref, malgré ses indéniables qualités, je préfère m'en tenir au Zorki-1 quand c'est le souci de légèreté qui prime, ou au Kiev quand c'est pour la technique.
Vu que le zorki-3M est moins courant sur le marché, son prix est plus élevé que le Kiev, sans apporter de plus-value sur le plan technique, c'est donc plutôt un choix de collectionneur. J'avoue que ça me ferait mal au cœur de le casser à l'usage, sentiment que je n'ai guère avec le Kiev.

Bought the silver Helios 44 lens and was given the Zenit 3 M for free. I recovered it with faux snakeskin. Its the M39 thread lens.
"little fisherman" is a 1.3m "lifelike" marble, full-length, decorative sculpture. It represents a naked child, who is trying to remove the hook from a fish he has caught. Body performance and facial expression emphasize movement and effort. The work has classicist influences and origins from the art of the Hellenistic period (Hellenistic Rococo). It is superbly placed in its setting, in the middle of a man-made Zappeion pond, which reinforces the theme.
I really wanted this build to feel very alien. The dark orange ground with the strange alien creatures slowly infecting the land and everything around it. The vibrant green river flowing between the legs of the elevated research station, and some strange yet familiar looking plant life.
The base of this build is 2m x 1.2m and the tower sits at about 1.3m high. This is definitely the tallest build I have ever done and definitely one of my largest. So big that i couldn’t fit it all infringe of my backdrop… luckily I was talking to a fellow exhibitor called Jacqui that offered to help with photoshopping the background to white. I think she did an amazing job with it and I truly appreciate the help, the build simply wouldn’t of looked as nice.
I really enjoyed figuring out the best ways to make all the curves and experimenting with different ways to get the toxic green of the river.
I really wanted to experiment with some lighting and a couple motorised features for this build. I wanted to limit myself to official lego products mainly because I am a lego purist and I really enjoy the challenge that the official lego electronics provide. I used one M motor for the mechanism for the black alien creatures in the ground to make them look like they were breathing, 10 lego power functions LEDs, 1 classic lego LED unit for the flashing lights on the cargo ship and 7 lego power functions extension cables. All of this powered by 1 power functions battery unit. I had a lot of fun trying to hide all these components and yet still be easy to access like the hidden button for the power and a hidden drawer for easy access to the batteries.

The Zenit 3M a 35mm film SLR made by KMZ of USSR during the years 1962-70. This camera has an Industar 50 lens attached which has an additional Leica mount fitted but fits nicely even if focus is impossible until I have removed the mount.
Weit nordöstlich des 400-Seelen-Dorfes Immendorf (GM Wullersdorf) steht am Ende der örtlichen Kellergasse an der L 1012 nach Hadres, am Buchberg, dieser interessante etwa 3,3m hohe neubarocke Figurenbildstock aus Sandstein. Er wird örtlich "Dürr-Kreuz" nach seinem Stifter genannt. Er ruht in 331m SH im alten Ried "Untere Alte Berge" am Rande des Melker Waldes auf einem rechteckigen Grundfundament. Auf diesem ein rechteckiger Fussblock der nach obenhin gewulstet ist. Auf diesem ein quaderförmiges Postament das an der Vorderseite eine seichte rechteckige mit Hohlkehle versehenen Kartusche mit eingezogenen Enden zeigt. In der Kartusche ist bereits stark abgewittert folgende Stifterinschrift zu lesen: "Errichtet zu Ehrn der Unbefleckten Empfängnis Maria von Johan u. Maria Dürr. 1911". Die anderen Seiten des Postamentes sind glatt und ohne Informationen. Am Postament eine vorkragende Deckplatte die unterhalb mehrfach getreppt ist. Auf der Deckplatte ein würfelförmiger Säulensockel auf dem ein oberer Säulenstumpf aufliegt. Oberhalb der Säule ein einfacher Halsring. Auf der Säule ein Kompositkapitell mit Voluten an allen vier Ecken. Dazwischen ein Blumenornament, darunter jeweils eine Blumengirlande. Am Kapitell ein polygoner mehrfach gestufter Abakus auf dem die betende Hl.Maria Immaculata sich erhebt. Sie blickt zum Himmel und steht dabei auf der Weltkugel. Mit einem Fuss zertritt sie die Schlange die sich um den Erdball windet, die das Böse symbolisiert. Auch unter ihrem Fusse die Mondsichel, ein apokalyptisches Symbol. Der Stiftungsgrund ist leider unbekannt. Die Säule wurde zuletzt nachweislich 1925 restauriert. Wie ersichtlich ist die Figurensäule aus mehreren vorhandenen Teilstücken zusammengestellt worden. Vermutlich stammt Säule, Steinfigur wie auch Postament vermutlich aus der Zeit um 1800 (Neubarock) von verschiedenen Objekten. Die Säule ist sehenswert denn in ihrer Nähe ist die lange Kellergasse von Immendorf im Sommer stark besucht. Hinter den Weinkellern ist der bekannte Immendorfer neolithische Kreisgraben positioniert gewesen (etwa 5.000 Jahre alt).
