Visitar Sachsenhausen era uno de los motivos por los que quería ir a Berlín. No el principal, pero sí uno de ellos. Me obsesiona la Segunda Guerra Mundial y estar presente en uno de los campos de concentración nazis fue inquietante y muy intenso. Supongo que ver las cosas reconstruidas es diferente, Sachsenhausen es como un "museo del holocausto" pero los edificios están hechos a partir de los escombros originales destruidos por los nazis al saber que habían perdido la guerra.
No obstante, la similitud con los edificios originales es increíble, pude comprobarlo en las fotografías que se mostraban en algunos de los barracones.
Este es concretamente el barracón 39, uno de los barracones de judíos. No entraré en detalles de sobra conocidos.
A trip to Bushy Park, Richmond at the end of September to photograph the start of the Deer Rut. Weather was just about perfect. As the mist burnt off the light gave a warm tone.

I snapped this right outside my door after I returned from the grocery store with a tiny cake for my son's birthday. The weather report said we'd get no accumulation from the snow, but so far, there's an inch or so on my vehicle.
This was the last morning with my sweet kitty girl. We had a good snuggle time and our family reminisced, cried and prayed together over her little life.
Being with her felt like a thin place, the way God intended creation to be at peace with one another.
She and I, we took care of each other. Sometimes she was my mother, and sometimes I was hers. Little Miss was a particular, tough, beautiful, loyal, loving little cat. She is already greatly missed.

Parque natural
Tejera Negra es un hayedo situado en Cantalojas, en el rincón noroccidental de la provincia de Guadalajara (España). Forma parte del macizo de Ayllón, en el extremo oriental del Sistema Central. Es uno de los hayedos más meridionales de Europa.
En 1974 se declara al hayedo de Tejera Negra sitio natural de interés nacional y en 1978 se declara parque natural, que se amplió en 1987. Desde la creación del parque natural de la Sierra Norte de Guadalajara, el 22 de marzo de 2011, quedó integrado dentro de éste, por lo que se derogó su anterior declaración de parque natural.

I apologize for my lack of creativity in this photo. I was at work when I took this, and I can assure you that this week has been simply crazy. I have been sleeping all day (when not working) and staying up all night. It was a nice week, yet my nerves are still uneasy. But, all gets better in time and I'm really excited to see what the future holds for me.
Today, I was really beating myself up over people and past events, and it hit me hard. That these people won't remember me in five years time. That these thoughts can get better. That there is so much to grow towards.
I would like to say thank you to my loved ones.
Alex is an incredible boyfriend, and I can't tell you where I would be without him now. He has provided me love and comfort when others have left. He has showed me what a true friend is and better yet, showed me what love can be. I can't say thank you enough.
Angela, you bring me happiness beyond words. I know things are crazy right now and you may feel as if the devil is riding your back, but God has his ways and I'm praying for you constantly. You are my best friend, and I can't wait to catch up and chat.
And to my few best friends, you all mean the world. I can't express that enough. I'm so happy for your comfort.
