This is my bi-weekly CSA that I get from Bewise farm, blackberries, lemons, carrots, parsnips, beets, lettuce, peas, avocadoes, and greens. Lovely!
Ahhh how I love my Nifty Fifty!
This photo actually says a lot about me.
You can see my desk is a mess, although the beautiful bokeh hides it nicely.
You can see I run Vista.
You can see I am a tea drinker. Never developed a taste for coffee. I like my coffee crisp, and that's it. Although, if made properly, a Starbucks Eggnog Latte is okay.
You can also see that I am a Christian. Raised Catholic, converted Protestant. I now attend church regularly, volunteer in the kids ministry, and even co-lead a Home Church with my wife and another couple. Now, I know what some of you may be thinking but I am not one of "those" christians, and I don't go to one of "those" churches, In fact my churches motto is "A church for people who aren't into church". You can check it out at www.themeetinghouse.ca
The mug is a hand made piece of pottery. You can only get them in East Tennessee (and the surrounding area). It was made by a very talented potter who also happens to be my father-in-law. Over 90% of our mugs are made by him. You can also check out his website at www.boannapottery.com
Lonely Lunch
Every day at the studio, this gentleman sits at the café opposite and enjoys a glass of wine and some lunch alone... the girls told me he's widowed and he always sits alone. I'd noticed him on several occasions as he looked thoughtfully into the distance. In my romantic mind, I wonder if he carries on a tradition in memory of his late wife and sits contemplating their life before the cruelty of death forced them apart...
Has anyone seen that show on The Animal Planet Channel called, "It's Me or the Dog"? Well, basicly it is "Super Nanny" for dogs and it even star a British woman named Victoria Stillwell.
Basically, this Dog Nanny goes house to house trying to correct dogs with horrible behavior. I tried and tried to get her to come to the states to take care of Gehrig, but I just couldn't get her too (kidding). Anyway, with some additional advice from my friend Julie, I decided to try one of her techniques with Gehrig.
Gehrig has a REALLY bad habit of jumping up and eating food off of counters, tables, etc. So, Victoria had this one family put food all around the table and the counter and when the dog jumped up to get it you blow an air horn to basically scare the heck out of the dog and then they won't do it again.
So I put a bone on the end of the table and waited.
You can see how well this worked.
The stupid dog ate the bone and I almost pissed my pants when the air horn went off because it was so loud.
327.365 - November 23, 2013 - A large bulk of the pictures I take are taken through one of these two lenses. My work horses. So, today I give them the day off and let them be the subject for once!
Also participating with this picture in the Fotowedstrijd Nieuwegein 2011, for which I have titled this picture "Past Marketsquare", with the following explanation (in dutch):
"In deze foto heb ik geprobeerd de verleden tijd en vergankelijkheid van het (ondertussen gesloopte) Nieuwegeinse Marktplein vast te leggen. Door mezelf in de lucht te fotograferen wek ik de illusie van levitatie, wat de beweging en het "geest uit het verleden" gevoel in de foto benadrukt."
I wasn't sure what I was going to end up with tonight, had an idea to try and capture some more light refections in the waters of the harbour. I noticed that the small fishing tackle shop by the Ross Bridge was trying to enter into the christmas spirit with some lights, compared to the backdrop of the Dry Dock & St.Mary's Church it provided some much needed colour to the image.
i am trying to be better this year,
but it's so hard sometimes.
back to work.
veggie grill and punch bowl social afterward.
340.365 - December 6, 2013 - We had some friends over this evening to play games and thus I did not get around to taking a picture until very late. So, I wandered around my house snapping some pictures and decided on this one as today's choice. Not real exciting or fancy, just a couple of my son's nutcracker's (he collects them and has a LOT) along with some drums. Only 21 days until Christmas!

Starry Starry Night
After a day of exploration and investigating all the settings on my new camera with wonderful friend and mentor CJ, we went on a mission for some startrails.
This was my first attempt at night photography. Taken on Exmoor National Park between 11.30pm & 2am. This image is compiled from 63 layered images taken at 30 second intervals. Pretty pleased with the result! Will be giving this another go... Great learning curve!
332.365 - November 28, 2013 - Day 2 in Kansas City. We ate at McCormick & Schmick's in the Country Club Plaza for lunch and then went to Thor in the afternoon. Then, in the evening we hung out at the plaza for the lighting ceremony for all the Christmas lights in the plaza. It was pretty cold but we braved the weather! This is my wife and kids along with her mother and brother and his wife.

Primeira aula de fotografiaeeeee! :D
VAMOBORA! \o
