Tonight, we went to visit our friend Angel, maker of Todos Organics, at Makers Work Space. Makers Work Space is a beehive of artists, makers and entrepreneurs that each rent out a studio space there.
Rune is a wood carver. It was his gnomes which caught Vonnie's eye. After a short, but intense negotiation, we walked away with a gnome house. Anything in Berkeley's housing market that goes for below listing is a steal. He also makes walking sticks and staves.
"What is your favorite thing about carving?"
"I like that each piece is going to be different and that you don't know what it is until you start carving it."

363/365 - Well this photo was supposed to be a test of wire wool spinning but I bought the wrong stuff so it is missing haha.
(poor internet reception created havoc with trying to get the daily photos up on the "day of"...) Oh well, camping is worth the delay...
Yesterday was absolute perfection! Dustin and I started with spin class, coffee, errands, and brunch. We came home and made homemade candy apples with our nephews, went for a neighborhood walk with ciders in hand, ate supper while we watched football, and made a crisp with our backyard apples. If today was the last day of the season, I’d say we did it right. 🎶: “Higher” by The Naked and Famous
