Tonights subject is Sparkle my cat. She is 13 years old and does not suffer fools gladly, so I'm honoured for her to let me take this shot. If she had let me take some more shots I might have got her eyes in better focus ...but there you go.

141/365今天在雨中尝试了不少布光方式，不过我只有一个塑料袋套在闪光灯上了，相机和引闪器都在雨里淋着。我一个手举着相机，另一个手拿着麦组浇花用的喷嘴壶，想试验右前45°逆闪光照射在喷出的水雾上会不会出现彩虹，如果可以，那我就能在下雨天制造彩虹了。但事实上我不但弄湿了我的相机，还弄湿了我的裤子，因为不光逆光，还TMD逆风了……最后我选了一张没用闪光的片子，在路边的水坑里，安静的HDR。总之，我喜欢下雨天、阴天、晴天以及雪天。

New perfume arrived today! This is diptyque L'Ombre dans l'Eau. It's a gorgeous fragrance that is lightly floral and really fresh all at the same time...a little like gardenia. Love the way it smells!

I was introduced to diptyque when I was in Salt Lake City. My friend, Jeremy took me to the diptyque counter in Nordstrom to smell an "interesting candle." It turns out it was a candle that smells just like a campfire...not that fake campfire smell of other candles...but the real deal. William loves the smell of campfire, so I bought the candle for him. The girl at the counter gave me some samples of their perfumes, including this one, and I decided to go ahead and buy the full bottle. Yay for smelling good! :D

330.365 - November 26, 2013 - It's Friday! Well, not really but I have the rest of the week off so it's kinda like Friday today. Tried to go to a movie with my wife tonight but the theater was jam packed and everything we wanted to see was sold out. So, back home to rent one! I didn't get anything taken tonight so I'm uploading one from this afternoon at work. I was playing around with free-lensing which always gives interesting results.

君子。

I kept C home from school today with a sore throat and a barky cough (thankfully, no fever). She played quietly around the house most of the day, and didn't get worse but didn't really get better either.

This week is Show Week at her weekly gymnastics class, and I really hated for C to miss getting her certificate and ribbon... So off we went. She did her somersaults and balance beam routine well, with a little bit of coughing, and she was super excited that Daddy and her two grandmothers came to watch.

After dinner with the family, another round of cough medicine, and a book in bed, she was fast asleep. Love that sweet girl...

Here's to hoping tomorrow is cough-free.
