Sung ah, bao giờ tôi mới lại thấy anh cười ?
After bagging 134, 132, 745 and T27 up north without having to venture too far, I figured that was it for the S Line for the day. Temps were already in the 90's and that didn't help either. Pulling back into Newport I once again caught up with the leader of the pack, 134, due to the "new" speed limit of 25mph on the line. It makes catching them easier but at the same time it is agonizing to see this stuff moving that slow. I figured what the hell, I will follow them down to Asheville. I let 134 go (because of the lack of desire to shoot the yellow thing on the point) and waited 30 minutes for 132 to show. I wasn't overly happy with the shot I got of him here at the bridge on Monday so I tried again with this one.

This was my last night in Olympic National Park. I was fortunate enough to peep over Kurt Budligers shoulder on this adventure and man can that guy take a photo… His shot is better than mine for sure, but I was happy enough to catch the sunstar by accident. I took 151 photos waiting for it to pop out the other side but it never did. I hadn’t realized that I caught it in my first two shots before the sun sank behind the rocks, and I liked the composition too much to try and alter it for the sunstar.
I can’t wait to shoot with this guy again…
In the end this was 4 exposures blended together. One for the sky, one for the reflection, one for the warm sand ripples and one for the sunstar.
So.... yep, I got a 2nd DD.
For a while, I had DD and Yuki. Then I decided I didn't need two girls that were so similar. I got rid of Yuki. But, I still wasn't paying any attention to DD.
So...she went on her way.
But, when one came up at a good price... for some reason, I couldn't resist.
So, we'll see how she does here this time around.
I decided I'll keep the same name for her... (sad, I know, but I'm bad at thinking up names)
So, she's Dainty June.
Gorgeous dress and headband are by Kate (moofala1) -- thanks Kate! We just LOVE all the sets!
Found a second generation Brimstone butterfly on my Dianthus in the garden this morning. 2nd generation is perhaps a misname as these appearing now are the ones who hibernate over winter to appear as the 1st generation any time it is warm enough early next year. I posted a photo in February this year of one in my garden that had hibernated & was brought out by that warm February spell of weather we had
I'm not an early riser but this morning July 2nd after working all night (not a regular occurrence for me either) a quick check of Marine Traffic showed that the Roger Blough was coming in to Duluth. It's was just before sunrise so I headed down to the Interstate Bridge fishing pier to get some shots with the Pixel. The Federal Hunter was still tied up at the Holcim dock.
My original idea was to get something like this when the lights were on at night, but the autofocus works very poorly in the dark. This was the only shot that was focused.
The 2nd early morning line up as annotated intersected by the telephone lines across the courtyard. Took another shot 10 mins later much wider angle with sunrise glow but Mercury eluded me behind a tree! Tomorrow is another day as they say.
My pretty tulips from Chloe. I've been ill all over Christmas with flu and still don't feel great now. Last week I packed the hubby and children off to Tesco with a shopping list and Chloe came back with these for me that she'd picked all herself.
