Butterley GF signal box at the Midland Railway Centre is seen here on the 2nd August 2018. The former Ais Gill signal box, it was originally built in 1900 and is a Midland Railway type 2b structure. The box and the 16 lever Midland Railway tumbler frame. was moved from Ais Gill in the autumn of 1982 and rebuilt on the site of the former Butterley box, being brought back into use for the weekend of 8/9th September 1984. In front of the box is a Midland Railway style wooden post lower quadrant home semaphore signal.

The Church of England parish church of St Peter and St Paul, Brockley, Gloucestershire, 2nd February 2023.
The church doubles as St Mary's Roman Catholic church in the BBC Father Brown television series and has also featured in an episode of the BBC series Dalziel and Pascoe.
The church was built in about 1180 with a major upgrade around 1310. At the end of the 14th century the north aisle was added, and the south porch was added in 1630. The bell tower was built in 1725, probably replacing an earlier one. The church was restored, and the north porch added in 1871. It is a Grade II listed building.
#83/365 Haven't done a tilt shift in a while so here is one. I know several of you can figure out where this is.
i've always loved this school picture, because I actually had a broken arm -- I wanted my picture taken with the sling around my neck, but the photographer insisted not!
I have stuck in many people's memory from that year in school, because I actually broke BOTH arms, sequentially (not at the same time) -- first one I fell down on the school playground at a parent-teacher conference night -- skinned my knee & didn't even notice my arm, til the next morning when mom decided I was holding my arm strangely and asked if I could rotate my wrist -- I looked blankly at her and said, "no, why?" so I'd fractured my right wrist -- spent six weeks in a sling, and then the day after I got it off, I fell down rollerskating and broke my left arm.
yes, i am clumsy.
my grandmother crocheted that dress for me -- my sister had one with a sort of raspberry color instead of the green.
taken at Van Auken Elementary School, in palo alto, 1973 -- i was probably still six, soon to turn seven...

The River Affric towards the bottom end of the Glen. An absolutely stunning natural landscape and one of the absolute gems of the Highlands.
It is still kinda amazing to me that this is just a 30 minute drive from the house!
At last light of a hazy Chicagoland summer day, a 2nd Shift CNW Proviso yard crew switches a cut of CN family road boxcars. These cars are likely on their way to or from the Twin Ports via trains ITPRA or PRITA.
Evening walks in Belltown. Used to spend a lot of time hanging out over this neighborhood, but its not as common anymore. Trying to get out of South Seattle more again though.

The fields above Redcastle on the northern side of the Beauly Firth have some interesting structural remains (possibly) within them. Whenever I pass I wonder what used to be here now overgrown by trees.
I am no good at portraits, but playing with continuous shutter yielded a result I am please with.

The greek theatre of Segesta, nestling in the side of Mt. Barbaro, today commands a spectacular view of the Gulf of Castellamare. First built from the late 4th to early 3rd century BCE, the theatre as it is seen today dates to the 2nd century BCE. Originally it had 29 rows of seats (the lower 21 survive) divided vertically into seven sections by access steps. The capacity would, therefore, have been around 4,000 spectators. The theatre is supported by a containing wall constructed of limestone blocks. The orchestra, scene building (once decorated with scenes connected to the pastoral god Pan), and entrances (paradoi) on either side have been lost. The theatre continues to host theatre events and Greek dramas throughout the summer months.
With a forecast of a mix of sun and clouds i left home at 5 am to make my 2nd attempt of capturing the sunrise at this location . When i stepped out the house there was a mix of sun and clouds and calm winds, it looked like it was going to be a good sunrise but by the time i got here the clouds had moved out leaving one large cloud on the horizon exactly where the sun was going to rise and the winds were gusting up to 40km/h. Disappointed with what was before me i decided to throw on my 9 Stop ND filter and salvage what i could of my trip
Where does this road go?
To this guy's place. A guy who did some very bad shit. In fact, in my opinion, he doesn't deserve to live.
Whoa. That's a little extreme, isn't it?
After what he did, the guy says, "you can have my gun when you pry it from my cold dead fingers." So I say, sounds like a good idea to me.
Land of the free, home of the brave. right?
To the max.
Do you see the daisies on the back? This is were I took Emma's pic with the daisies.
It doesn't look so magical like this, right? Hahaha.
Two years ago today My Sister's Closet Blog was formed, with the hopes of one day being a well known blog. I'm not sure if it's well known or not, but what I do know is it has been one hell of a ride. It's a lot of work and yet so rewarding and that was compounded by the friendships made over the years. Without you all, the sponsors, the followers, and even the naysayers this blog would have died by now. You all kept me going and I appreciate all the support and love I have received. I poured my heart and soul into this blog, because of my love of fashion and photography. I can't believe it's been two years, the time passed so fast. I still enjoy blogging and I plan to continue on for as long as it's fun.
Many many thanks xoxo Indigo
