I heard something making it's way through the thick shoreline brush at Blakeley this morning, and out sprang this little cutie...he's still got some growing to do!

"Hello darkness, my old friend,

I've come to talk with you again,

Because a vision softly creeping,

Left its seeds while I was sleeping,

And the vision that was planted in my brain

Still remains

Within the sound of silence."

The mechanical elephant is 12 meters high and 8 meters wide, made from 45 tons of wood and steel. It can take up to 49 passengers for a 45-minute walk. It is a non-exact replica of The Sultan's Elephant from Royal de Luxe, which toured the world from 2005 to 2007 (the main difference being that this elephant was designed to carry spectators).

This sunken pathway in Dorset, England, is called "Hell Lane"

The earth is red as is the strata which is a soft red sandstone.

Hence the name "Hell" It started life as a normal path at ground level but over time, with people using it constantly on foot and with horse and carts and driving their livestock to and fro, it has gradually worn down and is now 20 to 30 feet deep. Its possible that it has been used since the stone age.

Its a very spooky atmospheric place and even scarier because of the carvings of grotesque human faces that travellers have cut into the soft sandstone over centuries, as they seem to peer at you watching your every move when you pass by.

It was late evening when I got there and the light was bad for photography but I managed a few shots. Its a fascinating and well worth a visit but dont go alone or it could be your face thats carved into the rock or worse!

P@t.

Just something else that I noticed in there, was the existence of a small grotto dug into the bank with some wild flowers in a jar and a statue of Mary.

Im not religious but I thought it was lovely. Maybe someone goes there to pray and meditate and Im sure there is a spiritual link to the past through the forgotten people who have walked along it and unbeknown to themselves, helped to create such an amazing, truly magical and unique place!

I have disabled commenting on my last photo due to the level of abuse that has happened to me here recently. It appears to be a current trend on Flickr and has happened to quite a few of my friends who have also disabled comments.

Its also happened to me in messages. I cant disable that!

Its pointless reporting it as Flickr are not interested in doing anything about it.It appears that the more active you are and the more stuff you write with your images, the more you are targeted.

Its really not worth being here anymore.

So yummy and full of chocolate chips and oatmeal.

That brown butter gives you a hint of caramel flavor!

Easy recipe too!

1/2 cup butter

1 cup brown sugar ( light)

1 Tbsp heavy cream( can use milk)

1 egg

2 tsp vanilla extract

2 cups quick cooking oats

3/4 cups all purpose flour

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp cinnamon

1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (I used milk Chocolate but use your favorite flavor )

More chocolate chips to sprinkle on top ( if desired)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Grease a 12 cup muffin pan.

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Continue cooking butter over low heat, whisking often, until the butter has turned a deep golden brown.( watch closely so it doesn't burn ) Remove from heat.

In the bowl of a stand mixer beat together the melted butter and brown sugar. Beat in the cream, egg, and vanilla until well combined.

In a small bowl, combine the oats, flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

Slowly beat dry ingredients into the wet until well combined.

Stir in the 1-1/2 cup of chocolate chips.

Drop a scoop of dough into the muffin tins. Fill each muffin tin nearly to the top. Sprinkle a few chocolate chips on top.

Bake for 12-13 minutes. Let cool for 20 minutes in the muffin tin then run a knife around the edges of the cookie cups and removing from the muffin tin.

Store in an airtight container.Mine didn't last long enough to store !

Makes 12 cookie cups.

As our time at Kielder Observatory drew to a close I pointed my camera northwards to see whether the northern lights were there and lo and behold they were...just! Not only that but I managed to get the Milky Way in shot and a nice Orionid, hence the Trinity reference. Happy days...or should that be nights?!

Telč is a town in southern Moravia, near Jihlava, in the Czech Republic. The town was founded in the 13th century as a royal water fort on the crossroads of busy merchant routes between Bohemia, Moravia and Austria.

Besides the monumental 17th century Renaissance chateau with an English-style park (a rebuilding of original Gothic castle), the most significant sight is the town square, a unique complex of long urban plaza with well-conserved Renaissance and Baroque houses with high gables and arcades; since 1992 all of this has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
