The monochrome world outside makes me sad:-) I miss the days when the colors are turned on. A picture from archive. I wish everybody some extra color and positive emotions these days.

(278/365) Autumn colours starting to show in the trees at Newmarket's recently revamped Pitch & Putt course. I don't play golf but am going to try & do the 1km perimeter walk 2 or 3 times a week. It's a lovely walk with a stream & varied habitats. My son works 3 days a week in the restaurant at the James O'Keeffe institute which is adjacent to the course so when I drop him off I can do some power walking. That's the theory anyway lol my trouble is I keep stopping to take photos! HTMT!

After ignoring a sign that said "danger" and moving on a narrow trail we ended up in this magnificent place.
I noticed that white rock with dark spots on it, and as we got closer I realized that those tiny black dots were in fact birds (most probably Brandt's Cormorants) !
This is a 100% crop from a photograph I posted earlier titled "Birds at Golden Gate National Park" so the birds are visible on the huge rock ! But I think seeing the overall view was more pleasant.
UPDATE: Explored on July 7th 2015

Several titles came to mind but I thought they might be misunderstood.

Taken from the Lily ponds under the Singapore science museum at marina bay. With the tripod about two feet underwater and the camera just above the surface. I got a few strange looks from passers by.
Continuing the series of glass abstracts using crystal spheres and prisms. This was an experiment in creating a textured glass effect. I wanted a close harmony of colours this time, with the interest in the textures I could create. What I didn't see until I downloaded the image was how the refractions make the glass sphere look concave! I doubt I could create that effect again!
All textures are my own.

Such a sweet little thing, taken at Mannum Waterfalls, South Australia and I also saw them at various places around the Murraylands.
I asked ? Do you know what this is ? Thanks to Pieter, I think he's right about the "Euphorbia species" and I gather it's more specifically the Euphorbia portlandica - PORTLAND SPURGE, but would appreciate confirmation. Essentially that makes it a weed to us South Australians, still pretty though.

Some dolls are not in the photo because they're in spa or for other reasons...yep, I have a few more!
As you can see Taeyangs are a bit neglected...I love them but...you know :p
I don't have enough room to take a proper pic of the cabinet and it's not finished yet but I thought it would be nice to share with you ^_^
PS: I need to put shoes in most of them! ^^U
PS2: My Blythes are in another space ♥
Went out on Friday night when I saw some clouds around just before sunset. I took a drive into the country to find a scene that could work for the theme as well as wanting to try another time stacking image having been previously inspired by Matt Malloy's works. With the moving clouds and the changing colours of these clouds with the setting sun, the spirit of the sky spoke out. This image was blended with approx 140 images using the lighten blend mode and Starstax.

Last Winter was very mild and this year it looks pretty much the same. This weekend we had a little bit of snow and we had a nice walk around the Hücker Moor Lake.
Juvenile sacred kingfisher. This fellow seemed to be surveying his patch. It makes me wonder if kingfishers come back to the same area they were raised in when they commence breeding. Does anyone know this?

Happy Sliders Sunday!
'It's all about the shadows' was a macro challenge a while back - and I took lots of shots of an upside down egg-cup. Afterwards I kept shooting it - but without the need to be so very close-up! This is one of those extra shots, with some sliding and layering of plum blossom from the garden. A kind of gentle slide ;o)

The Bickentor in Villingen was built around the year 1260 and is now 18 meters high. The floor plan of the medieval gate is 8 by 11 meters. The monastery chapel St. Ursula is cultivated. Since 1480 the monastery houses a Order of Clarity. In 1782 it became the Ursulinen monastery with a girls' school. It is still a high school and a real school. The monastery continued to exist until the summer of 2015 and then closed its gates.
The name Bickentor (at the foot of Bickeberg) goes back to the time before the founding of the city when beyond the Brigach already Alemannen settled. One of them called "Bicko" had his farm on the Bickeberg.

Yellowstone National Park is the only place in the U.S. where bison have continuously lived since prehistoric times. What makes Yellowstone’s bison so special is that they’re the pure descendants (free of cattle genes) of early bison that roamed our country’s grasslands. As of July 2015, Yellowstone’s bison population was estimated at 4,900 -- making it the largest bison population on public lands.

"Awwww... poor little Baghead... don't worry, it's only a little creased"
*mutter* *mumble* "bah humbug"
"Awwww..." *giggle*
*sulk*
*giggle* "I've got something in mind that'll cheer you up, Baghead," smiles Shelley, "I'm going to treat you to something special..." *giggle*
Baghead starts unsulking
"Just you and me... *giggle* oh, it'll be soooo much fun," Shelley winks knowingly at him.
The cavalry charge sounds within Baghead's mind! Woohoo!
