Cerovačke špilje 13. VIII. 2002

Among the most renowned and significant speleological structures are the Cerovac Caves , located in the southern part of “Velebit Nature Park ”.

This 3-tier complex (Lower Cave , Middle Cave and Upper Cave ) features around 7 km of explored channels. The first 700 m of the Lower and Upper Caves have been prepared for tourist visits.

These caves abound in traces from the distant past. In addition to large quantities of archaeological findings, they are also among the largest discovery sites of the cave bear in Croatia . One may easily spot claw marks gorged into the cave walls as the bears moved against them.

Water has worked for thousands of years to create dripstones. It is therefore vital to treat these cave ornaments with care and not touch them, as just a single careless move may put an end to a process that has been going on for decades.

The temperature in the caves is between 5o C and 11o C - warmer clothing, a head cover, and comfortable shoes are recommended.

How to reach: The Cerovac Caves are located 4 km from Gračac along the road towards Knin. If you intend to take the motorway, please take the exit to Sveti Rok. The distance between Sveti Rok and Gračac is 25 km.

Voda svojim konstantnim kapanjem nastavlja tisućama godina star proces gradnje siga.

Christopher "Christy" Mathewson (b. August 12, 1880 – d. October 7, 1925 at age 45), nicknamed "Big Six", "The Christian Gentleman", "Matty", and "The Gentleman's Hurler" was a Major League Baseball right-handed pitcher who played 17 seasons with the New York Giants. He was among the most dominant pitchers in baseball history, and ranks in the all-time top ten in several key pitching categories, including wins, shutouts, and ERA. In 1936, Mathewson was elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame, as one of its first five members.

Mathewson grew up in Factoryville, Pennsylvania, and began playing semiprofessional baseball when he was 14 years old. He played in the minor leagues in 1899, recording a record of 21 wins and two losses. He pitched for the New York Giants the next season but was sent back to the minors. He would eventually return to the Giants and go on to win 373 games in his career, a National League record. He led the Giants to victory in the 1905 World Series by pitching three shutouts. Mathewson never pitched on Sundays, owing to his Christian beliefs. Mathewson served in the United States Army's Chemical Warfare Service in World War I, and was accidentally exposed to chemical weapons during training. His respiratory system was weakened from the exposure, causing him to contract tuberculosis, from which he died in Saranac Lake, New York. in 1925.

He is famous for his 25 pitching duels with Mordecai "Three Finger" Brown, who won 13 of the duels against Mathewson's 11, with one no-decision.

By 1908, Mathewson was back on top as the league's elite pitcher. Winning the most games of his career, 37, coupled with a 1.43 ERA and 259 strikeouts, he claimed a second Triple Crown.

The restored DC4 we flew in. Coelacanth trip, South Africa, 2002

Flew down to Florida last weekend to kick it with the homies and attend WinterJam in Daytona Beach. Friday morning Jonathan Dehate and I met up with Ramon, the owner of this absolutely ridiculous Honda S2000. Dehate and I couldn't have lucked out more, with the partially overcast skies providing the perfect diffusion to shoot this black beauty with natural light only!

Slammed via Apexi coils on BBS RS's, this import coupe brings the word 'stance' to a whole new level. "Wheels are wide as fuck, lips are big as shit," says owner, Ramon Collazo, when asked the specs on the wheels. When thieves managed to leave the S2000 without seats, a softtop, or steering wheel a few months ago, Ramon jumped on the opportunity, turning it around in the best way possible. Newly fitted are some Status fixed-back buickets, an OEM hardtop, and Js Racing rear diffuser.

This is a perfect example of simplicity. Well done Ramon, keep it coming man!
