Paso Robles
We picked up this wine while in Paso Robles and had it for several years now and we thought why not have it tonight with our dinner. The wine has a rich texture with a lingering finish. It is a little smoky, hint of leather and full of wild berries. It is a well balanced wine with some silkiness on the palate. A perfect wine to start the evening with.

The new class family of cars were initially introduced in 1962 with a 1500cc Saloon and continuing to the last of the 2002 in 1977.
Powered by BMW's celebrated four-cylinder M10 engine, the New Class models featured a fully independent suspension, McPherson struts in front, and front disc brakes.
The 2 door 2002 was introduced 1968 its 1990cc engine producing 108bhp in the standard 2002, rising to 130bhp in the high performance 2002 Tii with a top speed of 115mph.

The BMW 02 Series is a range of compact executive cars designed by Georg Bertram, Manfred Rennen under BMW's design director Wilhelm Hofmeister and produced by BMW between 1966 and 1977, based on a shortened version of the New Class Sedans. he first 02 Series produced was the 1600-2 (later renamed 1602) in 1966. Designated, an entry-level BMW, was smaller, less expensive, and less well-appointed than the New Class Sedan on which it was based .
Helmut Werner Bönsch, BMW's director of product planning, and Alex von Falkenhausen, designer of the M10 engine, each had a two-litre engine installed in a 1600-2s for their personal use, and together made a proposal to the BMW board for the manufacture of such a car. Meawhile American importer Max Hoffman was asking BMW for a sporting version of the 02 series that could be sold in the United States. The 2 litre engine was made available in two stages of tune, the base single-carburetor 2002 producing 99bhp (100 PS), and the dual-carburetor high compression 2002 ti producing 118bhp (120 PS). The car was launched in 1968 for the 1969 model year.
In 1971, the 02 Series received a facelift. The 3-door hatchback "Touring" body style (badged "2000" initially) and the 1802 model were introduced as part of the facelift, Other changes included wraparound bumpers for all models, a 2-piece instrument cluster and new seats.

Ferguson Arthur Jenkins
Nickname: Fergie, Fly
Born: December 13, 1942 in Chatham, Ontario
He was a MLB pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago Cubs, Texas Rangers, and Boston Red Sox, from 1965 through 1983. He also played basketball in the off-season for the Harlem Globetrotters from 1967 to 1969, and pitched two seasons in Canada for the minor league London Majors following his major league career.
Jenkins played mostly for the Cubs. He was a National League and Cubs All-Star for three seasons, and in 1971, he was the first Canadian and Cubs pitcher to win a Cy Young Award. He was a 20-game winner for seven seasons, including six consecutive seasons for the Cubs.
Jenkins was inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in 1987, and in 1991, became the first Canadian ever elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York.
On December 17, 1979, he was made a Member of the Order of Canada for being "Canada's best-known major-league baseball player".

Spent the past four days in Florida, for Winterjam, and had the pleasure of meeting Ramon, and shooting his 2002 S2000. Accompanied by Jonathan Dehate, we made it out early Friday morn and shot all around this building and its lot, and then finished off with some rollers.
I just got home from Florida, and this is the first shot I've looked at, so there is plenty more to come, I just gotta get some sleep first!

Back in 2002 and with my first new 2 Mp digital camera in hand, I took a trip to Warrumbungle National Park, a comfortable 5 hours drive north west from Sydney. The national park is based on the geographical Warrumbungle Mountain Range, sometimes shortened to the Warrumbungles,
The Warrumbungles are the remnants of a large heavily eroded shield volcano which was active from 13 to 17 million years ago. The volcano is estimated to have been 1,000 metres (3,300 ft) high and 50 kilometres (31 mi) wide. It formed as volcanic explosions occurred over millions of years. The remaining complex rocky formations are what is left after millions of years of erosion.
In this shot you see The Breadknife, a 90m high narrow rock wall formed when magma was forced through a crack in the earth's surface and intruded vertically into volcanic tuff and breccia. It cooled and set into a hard, narrow mass with numerous contraction joints. Erosion has left a long sliver of stone exposed which is hundreds of metres long and only several metres wide.
To the right of The Breadknife is Bluff Pyramid, a lave dome formed when lava bubbled to the surface and clogged up the source vent. The plug formed below the surface and blocked the vent. The resustant plug is prominent now as adjacent softer materials have eroded away.
Op 29 juni 2002 werd met een TSP- fotorit de afronding van de restauratie van rangeerlocomotief 7005 gevierd. De machine was teruggebracht in zijn originele uiterlijk en rijvaardig gerestaureerd. Tijdens de dag reed de machine op eigen kracht van Schaarbeek naar het spoorwegmuseum te Saint-Ghislain. Natuurlijk met de nodige fotostops.
Am 26. Juni 2002 rollt am beliebten Fotomotiv, dem Bahnübergang am Fachwerkhaus bei Rathen 140 411 mit einem Güterzug vorbei. Einsätze dieser Baureihe auf der Elbtalstrecke in der klassischen grünen Lackierung haben wohl Exotenstatus.

On June 26, 2002, a freight train rolls past the popular photo motif, the level crossing at the half-timbered house near Rathen, number 140 411. Operations of this series on the Elbe valley route in the classic green livery probably have exotic status.

The start of West 10th Street in Tyrone, Pennsylvania can be seen in this picture taken in 2002 from the intersection of 10th and Pennsylvania Avenue in downtown. The buildings from right to left (down the street) contain or contained:
- "McCrory's 5&10" (closed late 1980s)
- "Tyrone News Agency" (Hallmark agency, later Monika's Cards&Gifts closed)
- "Dollar General" (located here in the early 1970s had recently -in 2002- moved to the edge of town where they remain today) then "McKinnley's Furniture" until 2004 flood, now "Caterpillar Day Care"
- "Warner TV" (retired, closed around this time) now "Manning Photography"
- Gardner's Candies (since 1970s, still there)
- I believe this was at this time (2002) and for a VERY short period of time "Da Music Box" (a CD store)
- OIP (Original Italian Pizza) - still there having passed through 2 owners since then.
- Choice Gas/Cigarettes (had been a Uni-Mart convenience until shortly before this)
