L'ancienne carrière de La Troche (parc Eugène Chanlon, rue de Corbeville, en limite des communes d'Orsay, 91400, et de Palaiseau, 91120, Essonne) offre un front de taille de 5 mètres de haut pour 150 mètres de long, propice à l'escalade et à la varappe.
La sculpture réalisée sur la face d'un bloc du front de taille illustre un message associé au site de La Troche sur un serveur dédié à l'escalade sur blocs en région parisienne.
Le forum de "Bleau.info" signale la réhabilitation des voies et circuits du site d'escalade de la carrière de La Troche par Alain Perros, avec réalisation d'un topoguide à jour au 16 juin 2008. Voir :

Fall in Baker County Oregon on the Sumpter Valley Railroad
Fall is a spectacular time to visit Baker County Oregon and explore the changing seasons along the Elkhorn, Journey Through Time, and Hells Canyon, scenic byways. These three byways meander through some of Oregon’s most scenic and diverse geography and through numerous small towns providing visitors a glimpse of small town Americana along the way.
One of our favorite ways to explore Baker County in the Fall is on the Sumpter Valley Railroad. This historic narrow gauge excursion train takes visitors along the Elkhorn Scenic Byway between McEwen and the Town of Sumpter and offers spectacular views of the Elkhorn Mountains and changing seasons along the way. The Sumpter station is located in the Sumpter Dredge State Park and visitors can tour the historic dredge, learn about the rich gold mining heritage of the region and even try their own luck panning for gold before the return train ride to McEwen
