More than 200 Athletes from 11 Canadian Forces' CISM Teams will compete at the 2011 CISM Military World Games, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The 2011 Games will be held from 15-24 July, and will include competitions for male and female military athletes from around the world.This yearâs Military World Games are also called the âPeace Games,â a name which celebrates the role of the Games in promoting the CISM motto of âFriendship through Sportâ. The 2011 Military World Games will build peace and friendship by bringing together over 6 000 military athletes, coaches and support staff from over 100 countries. They are the 5th CISM Military World Games to be held, and are expected to be one of the largest and most successful yet.

I forgot how much I like a good salad. This is leftover egg salad from yesterday, loaded with a bunch of greens, grated carrot, and a garlicky tahini goddess dressing I threw together.

We ate, then I left for 6.5 hours straight of rehearsing, which is just physically tiring. Full on. It's recital week at the school, so not only do I get my students ready, I accompany every single string student there. It's a lot of playing, following and coaching and coaxing and surprises and parents.

I stayed the night with my G-ma today and we were going through a bunch of old pictures and yearbooks and my Dad's baby book.

This picture is one of the pictures in my Dad's baby book and it is a page called "Notable Sayings" and the writing says "Giving him cold bath because of a hi fever "Dumb Mama." I was literally laughing for like 10 minutes after reading this because it said he was only 19 months old and I just found it hilarious to picture a baby in a bath tub saying "Dumb Mama" hahaha
