A rare afternoon wander yesterday into Nottingham to catch the last light of the day was a great chance to catch a portrait in the golden glow of the lazy afternoon sun.
I spotted this guy striding purposefully up the road checking his phone and loved his cool swagger, a rare thing in middle England.
I walked ahead scouting a half decent street (sadly not a perfect street on account of Subway but one where the light was at least playing bad).
I underexposed slightly to bring it up in post and fired away a few frames straight on and a few frames smiling.
David was a cool guy, sharp sense of style and easy going attitude.
He was heading back into work to finish things up for the week.
I have been wondering lately if I'll finish my set of 100 strangers as I am spending a lot more time shooting street and working on some other projects but last week I chatted it through with a friend and decided that I will continue a very very leisurely pace through this final set and will then close my 100 Strangers project.

This is image 46/100 in my 4th set of images in my 100Strangers ongoing project.
Check out the wonderful work of the other contributors to the 100 Strangers Group on flickr!
All finished this 100x project! Done like dinner! It was fun to do using my old XTi that I normally give my grandchildren to use when they visit. Not sure if I would try another 100x or not in 2023 - we'll have to wait and see. For now, this is the end of the 100x album for me.
For my 100x project that I signed up for in 2022 where I am taking 100 images with a 10mp Canon EOS Digital XTi and a vintage lens on an adapter. In this case the vintage lens is a Canon FD 135mm f3.5 135mm lens on an adapter that I must manually focus and set the aperture on the lens.
I want to thank each and everyone who took the time to visit my little space here on Flickr. Have a super day!

Finally got everything moved in today, still have a lot of unpacking to do. All of the empty frames I have sitting at the end of my bed made me think about how exciting it is that there are still so many places and things still to be discovered - with enough imagination, the possibilities are endless. I know it won't be at all easy, but it feels good to know that there is so much to improve on and learn, and it hasn't yet ceased to amaze me.
Here is to 100 days.

An abandoned tractor in the foggy woods. I'm not really surprised by much in the woods, including this. You just never know what people have got up to. The engine is off center - I suppose so the driver can see better to line up equipment with rows. It's like the tracor fell asleep in a field and woke in a forest after 100 years.
thank you for 100 000 views, for your comments and faves..... for inspiration...., for being around........*

Troy is originally from Midland, Texas.
If you know what Matthew Mcconaughey sounds like then you'll know Troys accent.
He has lived and worked in many places in the world and has some great stories to tell. He works in the medical industry and currently travels around New Mexico.
He has a wicked sense of humour and is fun to chat with. He spent a long time in Ireland and can mimic the accent from there to a T as well as my own very English accent.
Did I mention he has broken his nose at least eight times? No? Ok that's another story for another time. I'm sure I'll run into Troy again in the future.

100 days!! I honestly didn’t think I’d get this far. I’m really proud of myself and excited to keep going!
My last day at work is Wednesday and I got a little sad on my way in today. Tomorrow is my last 11 hr day, and my last shift with Kara. Feeling lots of things! Once I’m done I’ll be able to really process it all. Until then, a lot of nervous energy!
Florida Beauties -- According to the Pacific Horticulture Society, most speculation centers on India as the source of the earliest ancestors of today’s hibiscus. Nonetheless, it was in China that hibiscus were first cultivated extensively; many selections were discovered growing around temples and palaces there by European explorers and traders who brought hibiscus back to Europe.
