Not the ideal focal length for a photo of the eclipse, so a big crop, I captured it at least! Life is busy and I forgot to take my camera to work, hey ho. It can go in my 100 project :D
I like the flare the small aperture has given the crescent sun
First effort at "camera scanning" using the updated 1.31 version of Negative Lab Pro plugin. I did spotting and curves adjustment in Photoshop, otherwise all tweaking was done inside the plugin. Slight tweaks to warm the midtones, +1 yellow. And density of the Kodak color corrector was increased to +5. The magenta weirdness top and bottom are courtesy of desert sunlight blasted 120 rolls. By the time you notice it, the damage is done.
Camera was a Fuji GW690. Home developed Ektar 100. Light table is homebrew with 1/4 inch thick white translucent acrylic illuminated by CREE high CRI (90+) LED PAR floodlamps.
Image uploaded full size so you can see the detail one can get from a medium format negative using a 42 mpixel full frame camera and the Sony 90mm f/2.8 dedicated macro at f/11. I could get marginally more out of the negative if I broke the scan into three parts, but this is good enough to make a quality 24x36 inch print. That's enough for me.

Jacopo is stranger n. 13 on my 100 strangers project. What can i say?? u could understand by yourself why i choosed him... he's perfect for portraiture! He's definitely full of style... i met him while i was walkin near the Gallipoli's harbor... i told that i would be more selective to choose my strangers... so... :-) he was next to a girl (stranger #14), (i think they were tourists because of their north accent, but i could be wrong...) and when i looked at them i had no hesitations to ask for a picture to include in my 100 strangers project! They thougths for a few seconds and then agreed... i brought jacopo under the light pole and i shot 2 photos! he choosed this one u can see... i really like the final results! i hope u too! :-)
sometimes i have some hesitation to ask for a picture! but sometimes i can decide in a second! this is one of them... :-) Thank u Jacopo!!!

I met Chris in Sleaford while he was collecting donations for the British legion Poppy Appeal. Chris and his bike made a very attractive crowd gatherer and I hope he got a lot of donations. We chatted for a while about the importance of the Poppy Appeal and then I left him to continue with his valuable work.This picture isNo 30 in my 100 strangers project. Michael is my third stranger in the 100 stranger series.
He was standing at the Grocery store offering poppies for donations for remembrance day. At first I felt a bit awkward talking with him and I could see he was a bit nervous as well, but once I asked him about the Cadets (and paid for a poppy) the conversation got easier.
I wanted to spend a bit more time selecting the background for his portrait but there were a lot of people bustling around with their shopping carts so I just made do.
Michael says he is in his third year in the British Columbia Dragoons regiment of the Canadian Forces. He hopes to commence studies to become a psychiatrist when he turns 19.
(I chose black and white editing because of different colours in the background but I will also post the colour one in the 100 stranger's photo album for comparisons.)
