Twin Pioneer

1 I don't usually like taking aircraft shots inside at museums but this aircraft seemed such an unusual exhibit of a civilian airliner I just could not resist and I then went on to take lots more shots in this amazing museum. A real gem and well worth a visit if you're anywhere near.

2 The Twin Pioneer was built by Scottish Aviation at Prestwick in Ayrshire between 1955 and 1962.

The Twin Pioneer was a twin-engined development of the Scottish Aviation Pioneer. Both were short take-off and landing (STOL) transports.

3 Scottish Aviation was founded in 1935 at Prestwick by two Scotsmen, Lord Clydesdale and David McIntyre. In 1933 these men were the first to fly over Mount Everest.

4 This Twin Pioneer was operated by Flight One Limited at Staverton, Gloucestershire, for almost a decade as a photographic survey aircraft.

I don't know how to say it...

but i don't think I can handle 365.

1. I have too much work.

2. I don't have enough ideas.

3. I don't have enough time.

4. I DONT HAVE ENOUGH ROOM ON MY FLICKR ACCOUNT.

5. Maybe it's pointless?

Now that I have people that I know on flickr... i want you guys to give me your honest oppinion..

Do you honestly think I should continue to struggle with this 365... or will you still like my photos just as much (or as little) if I did a 52 weeks... (1 shot per week)

I promise to make the shots very good... since there will only be one per week... and I will also add random shoots like I have done already 3 times this week.

What do you think...? Let me know please.

I am a registered Operator and Flyer and have passed the CAA theory test for sub 250g drones with camera.

One of many Metro's on the car park outside the show, I snapped this one cause its original, except the wheel trims are from a phase 1. I like that dealer sticker!

On its MOT history its got advisories for that rusty arch. Its only done 65k miles but did a good 10k inbetween its last MOT's.

THIS IS MY SECOND LAYOUT FOR LOAD DAY 1.

I USED A PICTURE OF MY DAUGHTER ON A TYPICAL SCHOOLDAY, LINED UP WITH HER CLASSMATES WAITING FOR THE DOOR TO OPEN.

I USED THIS PINTEREST PAGE AS INSPIRATION:

uk.pinterest.com/pin/285415695113251139/

I ALSO USED MY COUNTERFEIT KIT FOR MAY, THAT I JUST PUT TOGETHER. ITS A LOT EASIER FOR ME TO NARROW DOWN MY PAPER CHOICES IN THIS WAY, AND IT MAKES ME FOCUS ON WHAT I HAVE AND NOT TAKE TOO MUCH TIME DECIDING ON LITTLE THINGS.

About

This is my 5th upload from my ice cold trip through the nature reserve 'Het Broek', another vertorama, plenty of more to come in 2009 !

My quick and easy Vertorama Tutorial can be found here :

Perhaps I will jump back to Paris seen from the Notre Dame cathedral with the Gargoils on top tomorrow, but you must forgive me I've got more than 20 ice cold pictures waiting to be uploaded 8-)

All comments, criticism and tips for improvements are ( as always ) welcome.

Music

People that would follow my music line, would perhaps have guessed that ~although I have a modern choice of music~ I must have a classical background :

Bach - Cello Suite No.1 i-Prelude

How can a guy who likes that also like this ?

Lateralus - Tool [CD:Lateralus]

or this ?

Porcupine Tree - Anesthetize Concert Screen Projection Part 1

or that ???

Ozric Tentacles - Holohedron

Perhaps all these guys have some sort of classical background too ? Mmm, perhaps !-)

Our area of Northeast Kansas was hit with an epic Winter storm beginning Saturday afternoon. It started around 2:30 PM with freezing ran and then transitioned to snow around 6:00 AM Sunday morning, and which lasted approximately 15 hours. We accumulated around 15 inches of snow during this period. Our two horses Skip and Doc have plenty of hay, water, and shelter, and take the bad weather in stride. This was taken in the early afternoon on Sunday and the snow really piled up after this. Image captured with my Nikkormat FtN camera on Foma 400 film. Developed with Xtol at 1:1. I spent most of this morning digging out and making a path to the road...also bringing up more hay for Skip and Doc.

Picture #1.....I was sitting on the porch playing my guitar when a visitor flew in across the street! I ran inside to get my camera fully expecting him to be gone when I came back. But lo and behold there he was! He sat there for quite some time until,,,,

Next picture please, the Blue Jays spotted him. At first they just made lots of noise but then began divebombing him. I knew he'd have to leave so I was ready when he (pic #3) flew from the tree!

I was totally shocked when he flew toward me and (pic #4) landed at the edge of our garden!! He was only about 15 feet from me!

He was picking at something in the grass and sat there for a couple of minutes before flying off.

What a treat!! We've heard him on occasion but have never been able to spot him before. Having him come down this close made my day!!

Almost full Blue Moon (99% illumination) shining over Madrid, Spain.

I have no words to express my satisfaction at ending the endless and exhausting month of August in Madrid. In my case I have suffered terrible physical exhaustion due to the extreme heat, the excess of hours of light, and drought that we have experienced every day. In fact, we haven't seen rain in Madrid since June 21, yes, more than 60 days ago... I lost count... It's total madness.

Consequently, I can affirm that this month of August has been a total nightmare, without the possibility of practicing physical exercise, with a lot of muscle pain and constant fatigue, in my case complemented by my stressful job.

Therefore, today, September 1, I begin a new month full of excitement and a total change in the weather pattern.

And good news, I hope we enjoy watching the rain next weekend.

I wish you all a fantastic new month of September!

Goodbye August, I won´t miss you!

This was taken moments after she decided to dart off and almost get attacked by two dogs -.o

and after she was playing :)

anyways Carly has this sick twisted way f making me do things....and she wants me to post ten facts

so

here i go?

Facts

1. I have one pretty Tramatic life, but i'm hoping that it'll all get better in the end.

2. People always forget about me. It's always been this way like one time when i was a baby my dad almost left me in the house by myself, Why? Because my grandparents got a new van and it had a T.V. in it so they went for a ride. My dad just so happened to be the last one out the door...had my mom not asked where i was who knows what could have happened (I was a very silent baby)

3. I only have ONE friend in my school, because everyone els is bipolar and don't know if they want to hate me or deal with me....

4. I'm supposed to be dead....no really i am! Back when i was three months old i came down with something and the doctors couldn't diagnose it...i went through everything Needles, Spinaltap...all that -.o I'm also a suicide survivor (Multiple attempts) I don't regret it one bit either. We learn from our scars. and although ive stopped it doesn't mean that i might not try again in the future...and that scares me.

5. CANADA! yes! i am....inlove....with....that....country O_O'

I know more about my provinces and their flags than i do my own states....wich is well pretty okay considering we have like 51 or 52 states...not sure >.>

I blame my two best friends <.:|

i'm moving there soon :)

6. I stay positive....well i try being happy is...i can't explain it but i wish i was happy all the time it'd improve my mood alot....well duh -.-

7.I'm a slave at McDonalds....

8.I HATE Hospitals....

Hospitals are where you go when you're dying...

When someone els you love is dying

Where you sit for hours only to find out someones dead.

When someone committs suicide

you sit there

and wait

and wait

When someone is in the ICU

you just sit there...

i hate them :/

i just wish they'd.....go somewhere els

9. I had a little sister....the family doesn't talk about her much...

10.This is the long one.

i suffer from so much stuff...

Deppression-This started when my best friend Kelsey passed away then a little less than a year later i lost dixie and other people.......T_T it really put a really negative impact on my life

Sleep Apnia- Something like that, I'll wake up multiple times in my sleep because i wasn't breathing and thats if i do sleep

Insomnia-This again goes with dixie, i feel like someone ripped away my security blanket and ive found it hard to sleep without her wich often leads to alot of sleepless nights untill i'm wore down and dead exhausted.

Asthma-I can't breathe D:

Anxiety- Oh this is a fun one -.-

i got it back in about Septemeber or Novemeber. Thats how i knew for sure i had depression. It feels like something is trying to eat its way out of my stomach...

Stress- It's easy to stress me out...i mean losing alot of people you care about you start to worry...

Paranoia- Yes folks, I do believe someone and everyone is out to get me.

Headaches- Oh it's torture

And if i'm really lucky.

My Depression, Anxiety, and Stress

will mix and it makes me vomit till no end.

Fun times right?

yes i've tried getting help it wont work

Uhm thats about it :D

now i forgot what i wanted to write D:

hope you're happy carly T_T

Species: Dendrobium cumulatum ... Family: Orchidaceae... Subfamily: Epidendroideae....

Tribe: Podochilaeae.. Subtribe: ..Dendrobiinae.. Genus: Dendrobium.. Common names:

The Crowded-Inflorescence Dendrobium

This orchid is distributed in tropical south, east, and southeast Asia (including Borneo) at elevations of 300m - 1,500m. There are about 1,200 species in the dendrobium genus. This is an epiphyte (grows on other plants) and sympodial. The small flowers are only 3cm. More information Orchids Wiki

This photo was taken at the flora garden, at Kipandi Butterfly Park. The wild orchids were collected or 'saved' from felled areas of the rainforest.

Wassup Y'all,

Here is an entry for the "Small Wars", "Scene It" Category!

This 10x10 Build is a recreation of the Krayt Dragon attack scene from the Mandalorian Season Two episode 1.

I had a ton of fun building this and figuring out what to include/ where to place it. My personal favorite portion of this build is, without a doubt, the Krayt Dragon. His head and curvature were an awesome challenge to figure out!

Other features include the Krayt Dragons Cave, Mando next to the Bantha before they get eaten, and a Tusken Raider Crossbow in the left corner, and of course, Tatooine's Twin Suns.

Thanks, everyone, God Bless!

This is a replica of a 1950's era Texaco service station that I built inside of my garage. Most of the items you see are original Texaco items including the street pole sign. I named it the Bonneville Texaco station for 2 reasons; 1. I live in Tooele, County, which is where the Bonneville Salt Flats are located (about 90 miles west), 2. I am into Pontiacs and and the President of the local Pontiac club. You can also see my Shovel Head Harley in this shot too.

Planetary Resources Mining Drone Carrier "STREIFF" is another one of the "war horses" of the Planetary Resources (PR) mining flotilla.

After the war was over PR quickly bought a large number of unused war ships. The bankrupt governments of the newly formed Confederacy where eager to sell. This way PR could quickly start to mine the newly opened asteroid fields and establish themselves as one of the most powerful mining companies of the galaxy.

Streiff is a command ship that has been stripped down and rebuilt into at drone carrier. New additions are upgraded drone link arrays, rock analysis sensors and several different repair modules. Streiff can carry 30 medium mining drones in it's hold but can operate and control up to 200 drones simultaneously. Ore can be loaded inside it but the ship also has docking ports and connections for all kinds of transport ships and containers.

------------------------------------------------

Streiff took just about the entire month to build. I am a house owner and a father of two, so my building time is sparse. I had an entirely different kind of ship planned at first, but just a few days before September 1 I realized it would be too big and that I probably wouldn't be able to finish it.

So here it is! It's about 110 studs long. I have no idea about the amount of bricks used. Lot's of hinges though :)

Sorry the IRS has been up my anus these days and busy with work, but HBP is back to candid action! Here's some old and new things I want to say for selfish marketing purposes:

1. I have a new notebook on sale now: Click here to see!

2. Subscribe to my Mailing List if you would like to get updates about I'm not sure what exactly.

3. If you've been a fan of my nonsensical view of the world and want to support me but tight on money, if you could leave a testimonial on my website that would help me so much. With enough eye witness reports, it just might give enough evidence for the State to finally put me in the psychiatric ward.

#1. I spent most of my childhood without friends

#2. I’ve never much liked women. Groups of women terrify me. Probably because of #1. But I’ve learned to give them, and me, a chance, because I need women in my life.

#3. I’m not funny. But you may already know that.

#4. I’m not a morning person.

#5. I wanted to be an astronaut when I was in grade school.

#6. I’m knock-kneed. But I don’t think this would have precluded me from being an astronaut.

#7. I totally dig salamanders.

#8. I’m a pack-rat. And that includes being an emotional pack-rat. But I’m learning to let go.

#9. I’m fiercely loyal. But I’m learning to be more selective. And that sometimes makes me sad.

#10. I love Charles Barkley.

#11. I want to learn to fly. Flying terrified me until my husband got his private pilot’s license. I want to get mine so that when we retire, we can spend our free time flying around the country.

#12. Stamps have to be on envelopes just the right way. They especially have to cover the lines and words that say “place stamp here”. Or it makes me crazy.

#13. My favorite poem is “The Spring and the Fall” by Edna St. Vincent Millay. Someday I’ll have a photo to go with the poem.

1. I don't want to make photo today, but this appears, so made.

2. Awful dirty sensor, I don't have idea why (don't see the bugs by eye on the surface). I didn't clear it in post, cause the merit..

Verse 1:

I saw the Lord seated on His throne

He was clothed in glory, Exalted high

In the train of His robe, filled the temple

The Angels circled 'round Him and cried,

Chorus

You are Holy

Awesome Holy

You are Holy Lord of All

Verse 2

For I'm unclean

For my eyes have seen the Holy King

And He cleansed my lips

Right before the pillars shook

As the angels cried

Thanks for the nomiantion Dylan, and here are the top ten customs I own, all made by me, EXCEPT for the Captain Fordo. Captain Fordo was made by LegoMatic9, since no one said you couldn't include someone else's work :P And all of these are in no particular order.

~

Two-Face: Made him a while ago and had him just sitting around, but I really love him for the burned effect I tried to add. Not a fan of the hair.

~

Boba Fett: Probably my second favorite character from the Star Wars universe, so I just had to make him. Inspired by what Aaron(Legomatic9) did for his.

~

Ultron Mark 1: I just finished him recently and I love how he turned out and he made his way here.

~

Captain Fordo: My favorite character from the entire Star Wars universe, and he sits proudly next to my prized figures, all thanks to Aaron(LegoMatic9).

~

Marvel NOW Iron Man: After see the Lego Dark Knight0518's Marvel NOW Iron Man and seeing I had an extra Mark 42, I painted this guy and I'm in love with the look.

~

Red Hood: One of my favorite DC characters, being my favorite at some point, I made him a while ago, and here he is.

~

Quicksilver: Loved his scene in X-Men: DOFP, so I had to make him, and he turned out great in my opinion.

~

Reverse Flash(Updated): I changed the face after messing the original one up, and it looks much better. I also added some details to the torso. And two speedsters being next to each other was completely unintentional. :P

~

Groot: Groot turned out fantastic, and better than I expected, and has a part on his head where Rocket can hold on. And big thanks to Taylor(TCMazz1) for his arms.

~

Star Lord: Out of all my customs, he has BY FAR, the most accessories. His removable helmet with the hair that stays there, ability to switch from jacket to trenchcoat(though, Red Hood has his jacket now :P), blaster, and headphones. The most work I've ever done for a figure(even more than Groot).

~

There's all ten of them. I've tagged some people, however, if you are reading this, feel free to take a pic of your Top 10 Customs too! :)

I've been t.a.g.g.e.d.

So here is a self portrait from today and 10 things you may or may not know about me:

1. I used to be a metal head, big hair and all.

2. I am a computer nerd by definition but not a "geek".

3. My hubby thinks I am married to the computer even though we've been happily married for 11 years - it's been a beautiful love triangle.

4. Photography is a hobby - it keeps me out of trouble, hubby asks "What kind of trouble?" my response, "Guess we'll never know."

5. I am the controller at a corporate office for a company that recycles (tires and axles for the mobile home industry).

6. I was in the Army for 8 years as a Korean linguist.

7. I have 2 tattoos, I'll never tell where. ;o)

8. I attended Catholic School, enough said.

9. I was in kindergarten when my husband graduated from high school.

10. I used to want to be a veterinarian before I realized they might actually die.

I was tagged by zoe.skye, visit her beautiful stream here: www.flickr.com/photos/24237998@N06/

I won't put anyone on the spot by listing who I tagged - but you know who you are. =o)

A long long time ago, I was tagged...I apologize for the super late response!

1. I do not know where to transfer this fall.

2. I have scars on my arms resulting from my clumsiness with ovens.

3. This summer, I'll be visiting the place where my affair with photography began.

4. I would love to study abroad.

5. I haven't taken math in almost two years.

6. I miss calculus.

7. I'll be rereading Kundera's Book of Laughter and Forgetting this year.

8. My goal is to read at least 50 books...Last year was a total failure, so I have to make sure I do it this time around.

9. I do not know how to swim.

10. I prefer yellow roses first, then white and lastly red.

some notable things about this: 1. i love taking pictures of my cuts and bruises but i didn’t expect it to be so incredibly difficult. 2. this was from last night when i banged my thigh directly into the metal staircase railing edge. 3. i think that’s it, actually, permantely black and blue for you.

Have a good Sunday! *muah!*

So many great memories (and photos) from my first trip to Door County Wisconsin. It will take me a while to process them all but I figure what better place to start than with sunrise on Day 1.

I made sure to get to the beach a good 45 minutes before sunrise. As I sat there a brisk wind whipped off Lake Michigan making for some nice white-caps and freezing my hands while my gloves sat warming the seat of my car. I couldn't possibly go get them and miss one second of the beauty in front of me.

This shot was taken before the sun starting peaking out from the horizon. (EXIF says 08:05am but I forgot to change the camera clock to CST - it was really 07:05am) I have tons of sunrise photos from that morning - here are a few, with more to follow.

55009 "Alycidon" (running as 55013 "The Black Watch") t&t 47813 - 1Z55 (0752 SO STP Kings Cross - Scarborough, which was formed of 12 coaches & named "The Coronation Deltic" by promoter UK Railtours) - Welwyn North - 0841 (1 late, due to the slack timings requiring a stop not pass at Digswell Jn) - 19/08/23.

I remember over 40 years ago when "Deltics" occassionly worked 1S12 throughout (0550 Kings Cross - Aberdeen), if there wasn't an "ETH Duff" at Haymarket for the leg from Edinburgh, but it took me two attempts to get "The Black Watch" to the granite city, as the first time it was removed at Edinburgh due to defective fuel gauges.

Nice to see & chat to "Jenks" this morning, who with me formed the gallery on the London end of platform 1 (I was exoecting more). We thought 9S13 (0753 CBG - BTN) might get in the wat as it left Stevenage 3 minutes late, but ARS held it at Woolmer Green Jn to follow 1A07., resulting in it passing Welwyn North 7 minutes late! I love watching ARS & bet trains signalled by signalboxes suffer less delays, than those signalled by ARS, because on Thursday the late running 6Y06 was looped at Broxbourne (booked via Down Passenger Loop), only to be let out again right in front of 2H20 Cambridge, which was delayed in platform three!!
