Conference calls are a great time to get some tasks out of the way :)

=Tom= tagged me for 16 Things a while back, but with the holidays I couldn't get it done... so here goes 16 Random Things about me:

1. I am a Gemini... Explains a lot I know

2. I love Reality TV... it is my escape from reality.

3. I love to read... if I could live immersed in a book I would.

4. I can't wait to finish a book and yet I hate to finish a book. I always feel like I said good-bye to my friends.

5. I hated the ending of Gone with the Wind. I mean seriously don't leave us hanging... Do Rhett and Scarlett get back together? Frankly my dear, I do give a damn.

6. I have one female best friend and one male best friend from each decade of my life. And they are all still friends of mine.

7. I am not really a girly-girl... I am more down to earth. I wear little makeup, little perfume, and little jewelry.

8. My one girly vice is a pedicure which I had never really had one until I was in my late 20's.

9. Nine is my favorite number. I was born on the 9th.

10. I have no tattoos although I have considered one or two. I just keep picturing an older person with faded, sagging, and wrinkled tattoos. YUCK!

11. I have had 5 body piercings in my life. You figure them out.

12. My first son was born natural birth with no drugs. The second one... DRUGS!

13. I consider myself a very spiritual person, but not religious. Man has messed up religion to fit their own mold.

14. I love to write, in fact even though I clepped out of English I and II on my SAT for college, I took them anyway. I need to get back to writing.

15. I love to learn new things. I could be a full-time student if I had the financial means.

16. I miss ... a lot of things and people.

Now I get to tag 16 people... but I think most everyone has been tagged so I will have to go check and add as I find them .... bwah ha ha!

The Pancake Crimp Song from the Boosh. Is it me or is The Mighty Boosh 3 isn't as great as the 1st and 2nd series? it seemed like they're using the same old material as Boosh 1 and 2, especially the crimp which remarkly sound the same as the previous one in Boosh 1 and 2 (case in study; the Eels Song sound very much like the Tundra Song)

I think they got lazier in Boosh 3, such a shame, they were cracking in 1 and 2, especially 2.

My snack project again. After I finished the Academy Tiger-1, I needed to think about the next project and while I was doing my thinking I built this one up. Well, it took only 15 minutes including the time I tiding up rough sprue cut marks, touching up here and there and polishing some dull surface. The result is not that bad. The suitable age for this kit is 8+ and the skill level is 1 so I guess I am quite qualified. haha!! Manufactured by Testors and it is 7.1 inches long. I see lots and lots of items such as this – easy build kits – are from Testors and other major and minor manufacturers for that matter. Unfortunately that means less and less people, at least in terms of younger generations, build conventional "glue and paint" models...

In memory of martyrs, 21 st February, 1952!

This is the month of sacrifice in the history of Bangladesh. In 1952, our brave hearts sacrificed their blood and souls for the establishment of mother language, Bangla.

I am dedicating this picture to those great souls-- Shaheed Abdul Jabbar, Shaheed Rafiquddin Ahmed, Shaheed Abul Barkat , Shaheed Abdul Awal, Shaheed Shafiur Rahman, Shaheed Abdus Salam.

The exact number of death in the Language Movement and especially on the day of 21st February has never been recovered. This was due to the government’s effort to conceal the actual numbers of casualties and to control the consequences and reactions of the aftermath. Several witnesses confirmed that the police picked up some dead bodies from the streets. At midnight, soldiers of the Pakistan Army seized some bodies from the Morgue at Dhaka Medical College. The bodies left at the morgue were not counted then and this also included the injured people who died at the hospital later.

The UNESCO has proclaimed February 21st as The International Mother Language Day to be observed globally in recognition of the sacrifices of the martyrs for establishing the rightful place of Bangla. The proclamation came in the form of a resolution unanimously adopted at the plenary of the UNESCO at its headquarters in Paris in November 1999. In its resolution the UNESCO said-' 21st February be proclaimed International Mother Language Day throughout the world to commemorate the martyrs who sacrificed their lives on this very day in 1952’.

Walmart had these kids sneakers for $9.00, si I decided to push the small size boundry, size 1.

I have quite a few size 2 shoes which I can wear OK. If I can double up my toes I'm fine all day. So I saw these and decided to see if I could go down anotyer size. (I have had one other pair of New Balance size 1, extra extra wide, and I've worn them from time to time).

These were a struggle to get on the first few times, but they are stretching so getting them on isn't that difficult. I can wear them now for a couple of hours before I have to give my feet some space. Note the wonderful pttern embossed in my bare feet!

I'm guessing that they will continue to stretch so I can wear them all day.

I have several problems shooting with Kasey - namely 1) I don't do it enough, and 2) once I shoot with her I have a very hard time picking a reasonable number of photos to process and post. In technical terms, Kasey is an absolute gem, jewel, class act, knockout, and a blast to shoot with, and that is my unbiased opinion! We did this shoot on a very windy day - it nearly blew me over several times. Kasey is such a great model and took everything in stride - and being a hopeless romantic shooting with a hopeless photographer we fulfulled one of her fantasies - dancing on the beach! She also wanted to trash a dress and we did a great job of that too! What a fun shoot and I really look forward to the next one. Kasey - thanks again - you are simply awesome and amazing!

A William Randolph Hearst Ranch zebra in San Simeon along Hwy 1. I had too much lens and not enough distance. This beauty spotted me from a distance and walked directly toward me. How fun! The question is: Does a zebra have white stripes or black stripes? Well, of course, the zebras in the Hearst herds seems to have brown stripes too. I prefer to think they have black stripes.

I've been sorting getting ready for SHIPtember, and had been sketching and coming up short with ideas. I knew I wanted to do something Space Police 1.

I banged this out last night. I've seen a few things I will change and I've got an idea of how to change the under carriage on all the cars.

I decided to restrict myself in several ways to allow this train to interact with Moonbase Modulars. It needs to be less than 8 studs wide, and less than 9 bricks high. This way it can snake under moonbase walkways.

If I had a 9V engine this would have been much easier, but I had to build a technic bed that dropped the battery pack low enough to pass the 9 brick over hang. The power function connection can be seen, but I've tried to mask it. The power button is partially hidden. I have to use a pen to push the button to power it up.

I have plans for the other two cars; then building another technic car with a gunner station in it.

We have plans to try and bring back Moonbase at Brickfair Alabama in 2016. If you happen to be in the area come hang out.

84" of cable per side for a 29r Jones ACX 2.1 tire or any other 2.1 I'm assuming. 15 strands of chain cut into 7 links. String the cable through the chain loops on both sides leaving 1/2 inch or so of cable on both sides of ferrules. Crimp ferrules once in the center as shown here, then cable stop one strand off, this allows you to be able too adjust the tension of the cable to your satisfaction. Space chains as you like...works out to 5.5 or every 6 inches....give or take:) MAKE SURE THE TIRE IS DEFLATED WHEN DOING THIS! Air tire up and check tension if loose let air back out and pull some more cable through (do both sides)...then repeat.... if good crimp cable ferrule 2 more times and put the last cable stop on...now go fucking ride some snow and ice now!!

I got tagged by my friend Rachel (saganaga : www.flickr.com/photos/19337958@N02/ )

So here are 10 facts about myself, if you really want to know ... :P

1- I'm a greedy (sweet tooth) and lazy kind of girl, which really doesn't help me loosing the extra kilos

2- I'm stubborn but very open-minded

3- I love art & creation in general, and enjoy admiring other people's as much as creating myself

4- I love calligraphy & really enjoy seeing what talented calligrapher can make

5- I'm not sure about having a third child.

I loved being pregnant, and this said, I could have ten more children.

But having one more child would be too much of a change in our family of four.

And we struggled for stability (too many moves to really feel that feeling) and we don't want to ruin that now.

6- I really, but REALLY, wish days were 72 hours long !

24 hours (minus the hours of sleep) are not enough for me to get everything I want to do, done.

This is a real struggle with myself & with priorities, everyday.

(and I suppose I'm not the only one !)

7- I really love botany, it is so passioning.

Being not a scientific girl at all, I decided to make a point at doing my best to find the Latin name (at least !! and even more about them if I can) of all the flowers/trees/plants I meet during our nature walk.

I hope to get my sons do the same.

8- Both my sons know SO much more than I knew myself at the same age.

Hubby & I really do our best to teach them (one way or another) as much as we can, everyday, at every possible opportunity.

9- even though you can not feel or know that, I am a very anxious girl.

I can stress out for silly things.

On the other hand, I can keep my calm during emergency situations.

10- I've taught myself along the years to be easily satisfied.

I played the game, because I thought it might be interesting for you to know that, but I'm not tagging anyone particularly.

If you have ten things about you to let us know, please feel free to play along !!! (List 10 things that your friends may

or may not know about you, but that are true)

c1910 postcard view of North Washington Street in Crawfordsville, Indiana. The photographer was standing in Washington Street at the alley between Main and Market Streets. He was looking north-northeast toward the Market Street intersection.

The brick chimney near the left edge of this postcard was probably at the J. C. Alfrey Wood Working and Planing Mill on the northeast corner at Washington and North Streets. That chimney was 115 feet tall according to the 1913 Sanborn™ fire insurance map set for Crawfordsville. That map set identified the building above the trolley as the K. of P. (Knights of Pythias) Building on the northeast corner at Washington and Market Streets. The sign on the building to the right of the trolley included the name MILLER. The map set shows a bicycle repair shop at that location (124 North Washington Street).

The three-story brick building at the right edge of this scene stood across the alley on the north side of the courthouse square. The 1913 map set shows a barbershop in the north half (118 North Washington Street) of the building at street level. However, nothing in this scene indicates the nature of the business, if any, in that space. The use of the south half of that building at street level was clearly identified by the BEN-HUR STATION sign. That sign advertised the interurban passenger station (116 North Washington Street) and the associated freight depot that occupied the rear of the building. These facilities belonged to the I. C. & W. (Indianapolis, Crawfordsville & Western) Traction Co. that served Crawfordsville. The I. C. & W. company was created in 1903 under a different name. In 1912, it became the Indianapolis, Crawfordsville & Danville (I. C. & D.) Electric Railway Company as the result of a foreclosure proceeding. Later that year, the T. H. I. & E. (Terre Haute, Indianapolis & Eastern) Traction Co. leased the I. C. & D. route. The line was abandoned in the 1930s. The company’s car barn and repair shop were in the 400 block of North Walnut Street.

An article about the new interurban line between Indianapolis and Crawfordsville was published in 1908.¹

“The new line of the Indianapolis, Crawfordsville & Western Traction Company, known as the Ben-Hur route, from Indianapolis, northwest to Crawfordsville, Ind., 45.1 miles, was built for high speed operation…. Limited trains are scheduled to make the trip between terminal stations in Crawfordsville and Indianapolis in 1 hour and 25 minutes…. The power station was built at Crawfordsville with the idea of having it centrally located when the contemplated extension west to Danville, III. should be built…. At Crawfordsville a long term lease has been obtained on a two story brick building near the court house. A siding has been extended into the alley along one side of the building and the lower floor is used as a passenger waiting room, trainmen's room, dispatcher's office and freight room in the rear. On the second floor are the operating offices of the company.”

Trolley car number 202 had stopped in front of the station. This was the LOCAL INDIANAPOLIS to CRAWFORDSVILLE car. A baggage cart was parked nearby.

The sign on the third floor above the station identified the location of the P.O.S. of A. (Patriotic Order Sons of America) HALL. This organization was founded in 1847 and is still in existence.

First...The Camera Bag. I wanted a bag that said,"Don't even try stealing this!" So I

purchased some Domke inserts, put them in my British musette bag and sewed on a Russian spetsnaz patch. I'm not looking to give a false impression, but...okay I want to give a false impression. It holds DSLR, 3 lenses, flash, extension tubes, teleconverter, cards and batteries with room for a long lens in the future.

Ten Things About Me.

1 I am the parent of two first generation Americans. They have dual

Russian and American citizenships. We took custody of them on September

26, 2004. On September 26, 2005 our 'surprise' was born. Three boys

in 1 year.

2 I want to go to the Galapagos Islands.

3 I HATE movies. I LOVE film. I allow myself 2 movies per year where stuff blows up.

4 I'm related to one of the men in which Ian Fleming modeled James Bond, Sir Fitzroy MacLean. Ironically enough, I'm also related to Sean Connery.

5 I'm an award winning pig photographer, twice honored. Not kidding. Sad, huh? Have not had the guts to upload the pigs yet.

6 I am/was/might be a home builder. The verb tense confuses me in this market.

I start my semi-pro career in MMA photography next month. I hope to expand

photography as a career in the coming year.

7 I am nearly deaf in my right ear (low to mid tones). I have learned to compensate

by feeling vibrations. If you're ever in a noisy room with me and wonder

why I smile and nod a lot, I can't hear you because of the ambient noise.

8 I am severely claustrophobic. I am catastrophically coulrophobic (CLOWNS!). I have a little acrophobia. Ain't neurosis fun!

9 The wife recently graduated from a 3 year masters program in Nurse Anethesia. During this time I played Mr. Mom, with not building houses and all. Clipping coupons, new female friends, favorite shirt...you've seen the movie, right? I learned men are not natural care-givers...it's a learned behavior. I called it Drill Sergeant

Time. But the boys and I survived.

10 And finally. I don't care what anybody says...I've seen him live...not particularly

a fan of his...well, here goes...I believe Roy Clark is the greatest guitar player

ever!

Messing around in Digital designer because 1, I do not have the clicket's (Or whatever) Bracelet piece, and 2 the only Camera I own is crappy.

On the left is the lego Design for a fire hydrant, On the right is my design. The lego fire hydrant design always bugged me.

It doesn't look as good from the back but neither does the lego design.

There's a lego screwdriver inserted into mine so it's not hollow inside.

Made in Lego Digital Designer, I did not recolor one piece. This is made of existing pieces in existing colors.

As is the mail box in my photostream.

Beginning Strip 1... I have to make two of them.

I never bought a thing for That Car #1. I bought a few things for That Car #2. However, for That Car #3, I have spent more and more at What the Rock?! for the Dashboard of the Dieties!

What the Rock?! - www.whattherock.com/home.html

What The Rock?! on Facebook www.facebook.com/whattherockboutique?sk=wall#!/whattheroc...

5olly and Betsy have been having all the fun this week, so I thought I'd join in. The unwritten, 17th, thing is that I'm trying to write a cartoon about Antonio Vivaldi as I do this, in the vain hope something will just come to me.

Anyway.

1. I've never left mainland Great Britain. In fact, I've never been to Scotland, either. The closest I've ever been is a tiny hamlet called Eals, between Hexham and Carlisle. One day I will go to Scotland and look for Nessie.

2. I'm Aviatophobic and Astraphobic. Look them up.

3. I lie on a recreational basis, but everything in this post is true.

4. I have never smoked a cigarette, pipe, cigar, doobie or anything else. One of my great thrills is buying a packet of fags for a friend. It makes me feel like a real man.

5. I have broken one of my bones and chipped two others. When a doctor tells you you've "chipped" a bone, it means you've broken it. Don't let them fool you. It still hurts.

6. My pet hate is pencil sharpeners which break the point of pencils or don't work properly. I now sharpen all my pencils with a knife, which makes me feel like a real man.

7. The last time I was sick through illness rather than over-indulgence was on December 31st 1996. I had an intestinal infection which saw me spend the new year in hospital. The last time I was sick was last July. A Frenchman was to blame.

8. One of my feet is a size bigger than the other.

9. My favourite record is Dusty In Memphis by Dusty Springfield, and has been for the last decade. The last contemporary album I bought was Illinois by Sufjan Stevens. This came out in 2005, and is a reasonable indication as to how HIP and COOL I am. However, I have recently been enjoying the work of Little Boots, who is going to be one of the NEXT BIG THINGS. And I can honestly say it's not just because she's very pretty. Even though she is.

10. I have two middle names, which would make me look distinguished on a cricket scorecard.

11. I support Brighton and Hove Albion but have only seen them play half a dozen times in the last 13 years. This is partially due to them losing their ground in 1997, but mainly due to laziness. I last saw them play a competitive fixture on 1st March 2008.

12. I am an animal lover, but I do not have a favourite animal. I have a favourite bird, though, and that is the little egret. If you ever see one, you'll understand.

13. I currently know 11 cats. This is enough to form a football team, which I might do. Their names are Charles, Mullet, Henry, Yoshimi, Missy, Farook, Wolsey, Humphrey, Anastasia, Kissy and Polecat. Cats are great, don't you know?

14. I voted Liberal Democrat at the last General Election, but wish I'd voted for the Legalise Cannabis Alliance. At last year's council elections I voted for the Save Beach Green Alliance, which redressed the balance somewhat.

15. I do not drink milk, tea or coffee. I do not eat bananas, as they are vile things. I also dislike soup on principle.

16. I am superstitious, but am trying to correct this before I get OCD and lose it completely.

As I walked through my music/photo studio this morning I saw this view and had to capture it. I LOVE SNOW!!!

// During exercise Noble Ledger, September of 2014, the Cavalry Squadron 1 was acting as opposing forces (OPFOR). The main task of Cavalry Squadron 1 is to locate the enemy and give the rest of the battalion an updated status report, so that it better can carry out its mission. This is done by combining reconnaissance with armored vehicles, technical sensors and insertion of patrols with ATV's, helicpoter or boat.

So I've got a goofy grin, I'm trying to get a picture right here. (I blame you, Renee, with nothing but love! :))

I've got my remote in my hand there, and my camera is precariously perched up on my speaker, using the wireless modem to aim it down. Glasses on since I should have been in bed, oh, and hour ago.

Anyhow, ten things:

1) I'm the oldest of four kids.

2) I would have had an older brother, but he died as an infant. I often wonder how my life would be different and what it would be like to have an older sibling. For my siblings, that's me I guess.

3) I've been married and divorced already. I'm the first one in my family to get divorced. I wear it around as a little mark of shame sometimes. Sometimes I miss her, but then I remind myself how miserable I was (and, truthfully, how miserable I made her). I guess you never really get over this sort of thing, do you?

4) I'm never happy with what I have and image matters a lot more to me than I wish it did sometimes, though you wouldn't be able to tell by looking at my car, my clothes, my hair (Which I haven't combed in years, not like it's going to matter much longer...). For instance, I desperately want to get up on Explore... I think I've got one that might make it... it's going up tonight as soon as I finish this!!!

5) The person I admire the most is my father. He works hard, loves his family, and still manages to lead an interesting life. He's got more hobbies than me.

6) I was, for one semester in college, an elementary ed major. I wanted to work with kids until four years at a daycare ruined it for me. I love the kids most of the time (usually more than I love the parents).

7) Whenever I discover a new hobby, I get really obsessed with it, and invariably it's got something to do with art. Photography is just the latest one. There's been guitar, stereos (well I guess that's art and technology)...

8) The saddest thing in the world, to me, is friends drifting apart over time.

9) The most heartening thing in the world is being able to pick right up where you left off years later with an old friend like nothing changed.

10) I develop crushes easily and there are countless girls... dozens maybe... that I never told that I liked them.

11) Sometimes I cheat if I'm not done with my story.

Ten taggers:

dreamcatcher.crb for bringing me to do this, and for being a fantastic person to confide in and collaborate with. I'm working on something for you...

rakkasan69 for being my friend at all times and photo-outing buddy.

Bub56 for always checking out my stuff and having a kind word

The lately-absent miss L-Bear for her astounding rise to the top in skills

itsalisarose for being my confidant :)

Buy the ticket, take the ride for suffering many long, cold nights at the poo plant with me

Lorac's for her riveting pictures of old machinery and tools that always inspire me to find my own voice

Kat Lily for the always beautiful, sometimes amusing, and without fail strikingly good self-portraits that I wish I could emulate in execution (See this picture for poor, poor example)

NoLoveMoreSincere for almost-but-not-quite cleaning my apartment and for continuing to invite me to things. I promise I'm going to come, I'm just nervous since I don't know anyone.

RDubz for stopping by to say hi now and then... I do notice, thank you.

Same goes for you, PabloLopez26.

Yeah, so that's eight.

Tokina 100mm Macro + 2x "Tokina Doubler" teleconverter.

Ants on an orange trumpet bud.

Lens now focused at 1:1. I believe with the 2x teleconverter this is a 2:1 picture. Beyond 1:1 macro

I've been using off camera flash and the ants are annoyed with it. Tails up in an aggressive posture.

RV-1. I had a little pocket camera for Christmas which is handy when I don’t want to luff an SLR around. It has a video function so I experimented with this one evening at Farnborough Main. Perhaps I shall improve with time and experience!
