On the south wall of the chancel is a fine marble wall monument to Sir John Bright

Print description
c1910 view of the Spring Lake Park interurban station. The station was located along the Old National Road (US 40 today) between Greenfield and Indianapolis. I produced this print from a photograph and added the title. The cemetery in the background in this scene is still located south of US 40 and east of Sugar Creek. Smith-Johnson Ditch ran along the south side of the road in this area toward Sugar Creek. That ditch may explain why the station is elevated between the two tracks. The photographer was standing on the south edge of the road and looking east-southeast.
The nearest sign in the shelter informed visitors to SEE THAT YOUR TICKETS ARE STAMPED AT SPRING LAKE PARK _______ THE CAR. The other sign is unclear. The privately owned park was located about half a mile south of this station. Spring Lake is a residential community today.
Trolley car number 30 was in front of the station and car number 45 was behind the station. The name GREENFIELD was printed in large letters on the side of car 45 and the name above the windows appears to include the word RAPID. It is highly likely these cars belonged to the Indianapolis & Greenfield Rapid Transit Company. That company was incorporated in 1899 and operated seven passenger and express cars and a work car on 17 miles of track east of Irvington.¹ A 1903 financial securities publication included the following information about the first phase of interurban railway consolidation between Indianapolis and Richmond.
“Indianapolis & Eastern Railway.—Incorporated under laws in 1902 as a consolidation of the Indianapolis & Greenfield Rapid Transit and the Indianapolis & Eastern Traction Co. Operates about 30 miles of track extending from Knightstown to Irvington, where it connects with the Indianapolis Street Railway, over whose tracks it operates into Indianapolis under a 31 year contract. An extension is being built to Dublin, Ind.”²
The Dublin extension became operational in 1905 and was the final interurban link between Indianapolis and Dayton, Ohio. The R. S. & I. (Richmond Street & Interurban) Railway Co. had already extended their line west to Dublin, and that 16-mile line connected with the Dayton & Western Traction Company system that operated between Richmond and Dayton, Ohio (40 miles). The following report was published in January 1905.
“The remarkable extent to which construction and connection of electric railways in central Indiana and Ohio has been accomplished is well illustrated by an article in the Street Railway Journal, recording a trip of Indiana managers of electric roads, taken recently under the auspices of the Ohio Interurban Railway Association. The tour as made by the official party in special cars, starting from Indianapolis, covered a total of 781 miles, over which the actual running time was about 27 hours, giving an average speed of 27.96 miles per hour for the entire trip.³
That trip took the group east from Indianapolis, through Dublin and Richmond to Ohio, and brought them back to Indianapolis via that same route after visiting several Ohio cities.
In 1907, the T. H. I. & E. (Terre Haute, Indianapolis & Eastern) Traction Company was formed via the consolidation of the I. & E., the R. S. & I. and several other central Indiana interurban companies. The T. H. I & E. ultimately operated one of the largest interurban systems in Indiana.

Complications. Lots of 'em.
Part 1.
I wake up Friday, end of my first week back at work. I feel like I
can't stand up. Hurt in six places in my head. Email my boss that I'd
run out of steam, pack the kid off to school, and go back to bed for
several hours. Wake up. Do 2 things. Lay down. That kind of day.
Problem is that night one of my very very best friends is having a
combination birthday party and major celebration that they've been
planning for months, and which I had promised I would help with. I am
not up to this. I know I am not up to this. But they really need the
help, and I promised. So I go to the party, dance a couple, sit a lot,
help clean up after. The picture is of the cake. Happy happy, ouch
ouch.
Part 2.
I woke up this morning. Three hours later than usual. Oh, my feet
hurt. One in particular. Son said, "Lift your left leg. Hmm. Lift your
right leg. Hmm. Lift your left leg. Hmmmm. Yeah, it looks swollen."
Painkillers. Footrest. Later time for kid's drum lesson. Walk down.
He's walking way faster than me. "Better, go ahead, I'm movin' kind of
slow." Eventually I make it. Barely. Head for a chair, chat with the
parent next to me. Start to nod off. Time to go back. Uh oh. Clamp
onto DS's arm. I see all kinds of lovely things I want to take
pictures of (black berry clusters, bright purple daisy flowers, grey
berries, autumn leaves), but I don't think I can stand up to take
them. I know. That doesn't sound like me, does it? Get home. Hungry.
Too tired to eat. Sleep for a few hours. Beg DS to make me a bowl of
Campbell's soup. Still haven't stood up again yet.
Part 3.
Momentile. Was too tired yesterday to send my pic to Momentile. Was
going to do it this morning, but the service had been shut down as a
spam site. What the heck? Their cloud service provider (VPS.net) shut
them down, without warning or talking about it, then went offline and
didn't answer emails and didn't provide phone service. Momentile,
having no idea why they've been shut down and unable to get an answer,
was apologizing in public to their users, explaining as best as they
could what was happening with the limited information they had
available to them. Roughly 20, 22 hours later, VPS wakes up and starts
talking to people. Meanwhile, folks who had never heard of them before
have become intimately familiar with their inability to provide timely
support for their cloud service. Yes, they had a fair justification
for shutting the service down, but, wow, they sure can't provide
support or communicate, at least from what we've seen today.
It's complicated.
[1] I DJ but i'm loosing the love with it.
[2] I'm a loyal person, sometimes too loyal for my own good.
[3] I try to see the best in people, even if it take's me a while.
[4] I'm scared of needles but i'll quite happily sit in the tattooist for 2hours.
[5] I can eat oven chips all day and night.
[6] I've had a wicked journey in life so far, met alot of decent people through various situations and seen alot of dodgy situations too, but it's shaped me to be the person I am today.
[7] I like to treat people how I like to be treated.
[8] I'm a family man.
[9] Some people mistake me for a prick when they first meet me because I take the piss, but it's my way of saying that I like you.
[10] I'm addicted to music.
I have several problems shooting with Kasey - namely 1) I don't do it enough, and 2) once I shoot with her I have a very hard time picking a reasonable number of photos to process and post. In technical terms, Kasey is an absolute gem, jewel, class act, knockout, and a blast to shoot with, and that is my unbiased opinion! We did this shoot on a very windy day - it nearly blew me over several times. Kasey is such a great model and took everything in stride - and being a hopeless romantic shooting with a hopeless photographer we fulfulled one of her fantasies - dancing on the beach! She also wanted to trash a dress and we did a great job of that too! What a fun shoot and I really look forward to the next one. Kasey - thanks again - you are simply awesome and amazing!

Taken myself, in the mirror. Not the greatest photo, but at least it shows the tattoo pretty well. Flipped to show how it is really positioned on my arm. Tattoo done by Billy at Scarred for Life, Boulder, CO.
My, my this tattoo seems to have generated quite a discussion at forums.swordforum.com/showthread.php?t=92673 . Let's clarify a few things, shall we?
1. I am a WOMAN. Why are you assuming I'm a man?
2. I practice a swordfighting style called American Hard Style Japanese Swordfighting, created by Master Thomas Chang.
3. I don't care about tattoo practices in Japan. I don't plan on ever going to Japan.
4. I've never read the book referenced in the topic thread. My sensei taught me about the four eyes of the Samurai. I got the English translations from him.
5. The kanji is correct... I have a Japanese friend who checks all my kanji for me before I decide to get tattooed. I also have a tattoo in kanji for 'Indomitable Spirit'.
6. After reading that forum, I have figured out that you all are a bunch of elitist, Japanese culture snobs. What in the hell does that have to do with swordfighting (since you're posting on a swordfighting forum)?

I quite like black background. And I'm starting to learn more about lighting and photography. Oh and shadows. I think there'll be a lot of experiments with strobes to come in the near future. Please be patient with me.
I also think that the lack of photoshop, because the main mothership computer is playing up and taking ages to load when switching on; and the CS3 trial on my current laptop is over.... is making pushing forcing me to take better pictures and not to rely on photoshop as much. I've been told, if you get it right on camera, you save a lot of time later... I'm learning, what can I say? But one thing that is annoying me is the hair and being able to make out the outline of my breast(!) because it wasn't dark enough there. But oh well.
Strobist information (because this is officially my first public photo, taken with strobes!): White brolly to camera right, with a reflector to camera left. Lighting power is.... goodness knows how much power (still not worked out way to find out as it's more of a knob I turn between 1/8 to 1?! somewhere closer to 1 i think?! lol)
I've been tagged by lovely Tosin and Scart, so here are 10 things to share about me.
1.I am simple, friendly and wife to my wonderful husband.
2. I'm a twice blessed mother of two
adorable and extraordinary twin.
3. I have to admit I am terrified of the dark.
4. without light I cannot sleep if I'm not
covered in a blanket no matter how warm it is.
5. Cracking every joint of my body I love to crack my ankle.
6. Picking up things with my feet especially when I’m cleaning.
7. I used to wipe a toilet seats when I go to other house or anywhere even its clean,
I am kind of a germa fob when it comes to that.
8. When I leave my home I know I’ve locked the door but I’ll go back and double check.
9. I cannot sleep with pillow on my head, let the pillow in my feet.
10. I live life as much as I can without regrets. “God said,
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with my eye”.
Now I'm tagging ...

Barring Greenland’s ice cap falling into the sea and a catastrophic global rise in sea height of 20ft this year shall surely be the best year to date for us all.
The few days that have passed have shown signs that this indeed shall be a prosperous year, however today stands out for several reasons:
1. I was given the day off.
2. I bought a new pair of jeans with a gift card given to me by work for working my ass off over the last month.
3. My wife came home from work and we shared the best lunch I’ve ever had.
4. (the clincher) I purchased a brand new 15” 2.16ghz Intel Core Duo processor MacBook Pro.
Boo to the Ya Ya.

Yesterday evening, when I went out of my shower, I saw this beautiful sunset from the window. Suddenly, a huge formation of geese across the sky was ready to land in. I was sure I could take the picture of my life, but I had to make a very quick choice:
Option 1. I get dressed decently
Option 2. I forget the whole world, grab my camera and run in the garden to take this amazing picture ...
As a good French I chose Option 2 (passion is priceless-)
So in underwear, I rushed to the beach to catch the unforgettable land in. I was enough naive to think that with a very limited neighborhood, I will probably be the only one enjoying the scene....I was wrong. Few feet away, in his canoe, my neighbor was also enjoying the sunset...and the pale [confused] French moon. A bit destabilized, I didn't pay attention that my memory card was full....and I missed the birds!-))

.
.
**************************************************************************************************************
Geschichte
**************************************************************************************************************
.
.

**************************************************************************************************************
Loknummern und Wappen
**************************************************************************************************************
.
.

BACKSTORY: Oh, rainbows! Why not have a party for every color in the rainbow? We wanted to throw more parties, but it was hard to think of a bunch of specific themes, so we often didn't really have one. Clint had the idea to have a party for each color in the rainbow, in spectral order. Our first party was the RED PARTY: "I like red!": A celebration of red.
Circa 1908 postcard view of Harrison Street in Alexandria, Indiana. The photographer was looking south toward the Church Street intersection. Signs on the building at the southeast corner of the intersection (125 North Harrison) advertised COCA COLA and ICE CREAM SODA. The sign above the window identified this as the E. C. ROBINSON DRUGS store. Mr. Robinson was identified as an Alexandria pharmacist as early as 1905,¹ but a 1908 directory² included this entry. “E. C. Robinson, 207 N. Harrison St., it is reported, has been succeeded by Dr. M. L. Ploughe.”
A jeweler’s trade sign (an oversize pocket watch) was mounted on a post at the curb two doors south (121 North Harrison) of the drugstore. The 1909 Sanborn™ fire insurance map set for Alexandria confirms these two business types in that corner building and identifies the building as the Alexandria Opera House. The opera house entrance was between the drugstore and the jeweler’s store. The banner just beyond the jeweler’s post clock appears to advertise pianos. That may have been associated with the jewelry business. The next business south according to the 1909 map set was a “Fruits” business (119 North Harrison Street).
On the west side of Harrison street south of the intersection was a RESTAURANT sign. The 1909 Sanborn™ fire insurance map set for Alexandria shows a restaurant at that location. A 1902 business directory³ listed a restaurant owned by W. M. Masterson at that address (116 North Harrison). The building was the Eyck & Perry Block. The 1909 map set shows a pool room located north of the restaurant at 118 North Harrison. At 120 North Harrison, the awning appears to have CLOTHING printed on it. The 1902 directory included a listing for R. Markson’s clothing shop at this address. Next door, at 122 North Harrison Street, was a sign advertising GREE__ BAZAAR. The 1909 Sanborn map set shows a bazaar at this address and the 1902 directory listed an M. J. Greir Bazaar at 106 North Harrison. (was this a misspelling of Greer?) The 106 North Harrison address was vacant when the 1909 map set was prepared. The space on the southwest corner (126 North Harrison) was also vacant when the 1909 map set was prepared. This view doesn’t reveal if the space was occupied, but the sign beside the entrance advertised a LUNCH ROOM IN THE REAR.
Across the street on the northwest corner (202 North Harrison Street), an awning advertised W. E. C. SPADES drug store. The 1902 directory listed druggists MacDonald and Jordan at this address. They were not listed in Alexandria in a 1905 directory of druggists, but W. E. C. Spades was. The 1909 map set shows a drugstore at this location. The elk antlers hanging from the corner of that building signify the location of the B. P. O. E. (Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks) Lodge on the second floor of that building.

LOLA Day 20
August 26, 2014
YAYAY I found a coke bottle with my name on it! Well I didn't find it, but it's all mine now! I am one of those people who could take the pepsi challenge and definitely know the difference and prefer coke. I can totally tell, I promise you. Just like I can tell if there is a tiny piece of onion in something I am eating (I DO NOT like onions). So that share a coke slogan got me thinking about sharing. Little E will clutch his favorite train toy (Thomas of course) like his life depends on it, but then out of the blue will walk over to one of his friends and just hand it over to them. Why? I have no idea, but a toddler giving away his most prized train is a pretty big deal. These little people are so amazing. Would you give away a prized possession to someone just because? Would your decision be based on how much it cost you? If you really like it that much? Could you find another one like it? Or would it soley be based on whether or not someone else would really appreciate it? My guess is the former. At least that would be part of my thought process. We put so much value in stuff...............A past Angela would probably even keep this coke bottle. Why? Well because it is special because it has my name on it of course! But Angela 3.0 (not sure if I discussed the versions of my yet, but I am now on 3.0) decided to take a photo of it, enjoy drinking it and then return for refund where applicable.
Oh and I am going to go through with Project333, but I like to start things at the beginning of the month so it will officially start September 1! I have taken two bags of clothes to donation, another bag to my sister and some shoes and such have been boxed up and will likely be donated after Project333 is complete.

This is funny for 2 reasons. 1 I have a sign just like it in my shack and 2 it states the area is closed to hang gliders and bicycles... darn, I wanted to try that down this 30 degree slope with trees!
My mom got me this<3
Even though everyones Gods favorite... everyone should get this shirt ;)
SO I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED. I just bought a remote and tripod for my nikon.
Seriously I don't know how I lasted this long without one...
But should get them in a few days:D
I look super awkward in this. I HAD to use my hamper and i didnt know if my shirt would be cut off.
LOL embarrasing. I'm like bent down...oh gosh
I tagged some people if you dont wanna be tagged then untag yourself haha.
But I just wanna tell everyone that Jesus loves you. :D
This isnt supposed to be anything special, I just love the shirt...
I was tagged woohoo. 10 facts about me.
1. I love jesus OBVS.
2. My rooms super tiny, you can kinda tell in this picture.
