My first 3D project in Blender. The model (except the hair piece), the UV, the textures and materials are created by me. (Sorry for the background, it's clearly not high-res enough)

I was always a big fan of LEGO, especially LEGO Star Wars. When I was small I always wanted to create my own minifigures, but in the real world I wasn't capable to do it (I had some unsuccsessful attempt...), so I decided to move into the 3D world. I was a little bit skeptical about using Blender (because it's free), but I was wrong, Blender is brilliant.

After some basic tutorial and tests with donuts and mugs I jumped into the creation of my minifigure. For a professional / more experienced modeler it wouldn't be hard to create a minifig, but for me it took time. When I got a bearable result I had to face the next 'problem', the UV mapping. Somehow I survived :) Then I had to create the textures, which was the easiest and the most enjoyable part of the whole process. I decided to first create Qui-Gon Jinn's character. My aim was not to recreate the one that LEGO did, but to create my own version.

So I needed that typical Qui-Gon hair piece. I read about methods that I can import LDraw models into Blender etc... but then I found an even better solution, the Mecabricks. Those guys are awesome, and they had a 'Blender compatible' Qui-Gon hair piece.

But my renders still looked very CG compared to the renders from Mecabricks. So I dived into the ocean of photorealism tutorials. My research ended up with a PBR Uber shader, diffuse map, roughness map, relfection map, metalness map, bump map and some displacement maps. My model got some plastic like material bump, some molding lines, the LEGO texts on the arms and on the legs, many small scratches and some fingerprints. Also, thanks to the Uber shader the metal parts on Qui-Gon's belt are really metals.

Im planning to do more characters from Star Wars, and maybe create an animation at the end or something.

Long-tailed Weasel with Vole

Northern Utah

I got lucky with this little guy this morning. I’ve seen him around for the past week but haven’t had much luck with photos of him. This morning I could tell he was actively hunting. I followed him around for close to an hour and he finally popped up with vole!

We are back to our unusually warm winter in Northern Utah. The snow is gone in the valley, but it doesn’t seem to be a problem for this guy. You’d think he’d be easy prey for all the wintering raptors.

Equipment side note: My Canon 7DmkII is at Canon for calibration. I was having auto focus issues with it in that less MFA was needed depending on the subject’s distance. Within 30’ or so needed +5 over 80’ needed only +1. I have been guessing at the needed MFA for the past month and it has worked but I shouldn’t have to do this. I don’t need another variable to mess up. I like to shoot as wide open as possible with just enough DOF to get the subject in focus and I’m very picky about sharpness. It has to be perfect or I trash it. My theory is that production was rushed to fill all the pre-orders on this camera. It was the most pre-ordered camera ever. Canon support has been great and I will have my 7D2 back very soon.

Thanks for viewing.

wow, this looks awful small. okay, you must view large. seriously. it's plain embarrassing small.

also, i'm terribly sorry that i haven't had time to look through everyone's new uploads in a couple days :( i promise i will catch up on that this weekend, if not before.

this is old, super old, sorry you are probably tired of all these canal pictures.

anyway, i uploaded it since i had no new photos and i was tagged by audrey hutchinson (: so here goes, ten things about me...

1. i go through phases of music...i will pick two or three songs and literally ONLY listen to them for the next month. right now...it's two songs from the coraline soundtrack. don't make fun of me :'( haha.

2. i LOVE root beer dumdums (as in the lollipops)

3. i was obsessed with neopets for like 5 years...and i still go on every once in awhile. heh

4. i have a cat named ember, who is actually a vampire and i have ten million scars on my arms to prove it.

I've been tagged... twice, by Tasmin Bahia and kittyslave. So before I get

tagged again, here goes...

Ten Facts About Me:

1. I am a very private person.

2. My husband tells me that when it comes to the personal lives

of other people I am the least inquisitive person he has ever met.

3. My main muses are our sons, Daniel and Sam. They are pretty good

sports about posing for me but sometimes I drive them crazy with my

camera and often I have to beg, bribe, cajole and pay up to get them

to pose for me.

4. When I was a child growing up my family's nick-name for me

was Loli. Nothing to do with lollipops, I just have always loved to loll

around, lounge and relax.

5. The most exciting thing I can think of doing is travel. There have been

times in my life when I have dropped everything for an opportunity to

visit different parts of the world.

6. I love animals. I have a particular affinity for dogs and horses. I am

most fascinated by the wolf.

7. If I could be any animal I would be a dolphin because they strike me

as very happy and free and they live in the ocean.

8. For most of my life I have always lived close to the sea. Growing up I

had many strange and powerful nightmares about the ocean. I often

dreamt of tidal waves. I am inexplicably and totally drawn to the sea

yet I fear it too.

9. I need music and art and poetry. They help me see beauty in the

world.

10. I was born the year of the Dragon.

Now I must get to work tagging.... but who I wonder is left?

Andrew Barclay Sons & Co. Ltd. 0-4-0ST no. 2088 (built in 1940), masquerading as Barrington Light Railway no. 1 Vulcan (its real name is Sir Thomas Roydon), crosses Barrington Road level crossing at the Foxton end of the Barrington Light Railway. This was the return leg of the third afternoon trip to the Foxton Exchange Sidings.

Trains had returned to the Barrington Light Railway near Cambridge on 30th June 2015, part of the former quarry now being used as a landfill site for inert waste (from construction projects); Barrington Cement Works had closed in early 2009. The last trains to use the line had actually been in June 2005, when coal deliveries ceased as the kiln was now to be fuelled only by waste oils (cement was already going out by road). Previously, the mainline railway companies delivered wagons to and collected them from the exchange sidings at Foxton, but in preparation for the spoil traffic the line was completely relaid and upgraded for mainline locos, which included strengthening the River Cam Viaduct.

Owner of the site, Cemex, held a media event to mark the reopening on Friday 25th September 2015, and the following day there was a public open day, aimed at rail enthusiasts in the morning (from 9am until midday - in theory!) and then at locals in the afternoon (1pm until 5pm). Money was being raised for the East Anglia Air Ambulance; Barrington Cement Works had a history of regular charity open days, organised by former Works Manager John Drayton MBE, and often involving one or more steam locos working trains, and usually rides being available on the Light Railway. John had organised this event, which was expected to be the last ever - he had remained as site "caretaker" until it reopened as a landfill site.

The steam loco and two brakevans had been brought in from Rocks by Rail (the former Rutland Railway Museum). The plan for the morning was to run trains from the temporary platform just inside the works entrance along the new line to the Unloading Pad near the former quarry as well two or three trips on the Light Railway to Foxton and back. In the afternoon, only trips to the Unloading Pad were planned; running to Foxton meant three level crossings needed to be staffed, and I was told that the volunteers (Cemex employees) were not expecting to continue into the afternoon.

Having photographed Tornado on the ECML near St. Neots, I arrived at about 10am just as a trip was arriving back from Foxton. The "crossing keeper" told me there would be another in about an hour, so I had a ride (not my first journey on the line), and when we got back the staff said there would no more to Foxton. I then drove to Foxton station to pick up a friend who'd travelled from Basingstoke, and we both had a ride up to the Unloading Pad. But then a Rocks by Rail volunteers suggested there was to be a third run to Foxton and back, apparently because the person who'd designed the rebuilt line had not yet had his own ride... That set off at 12.30, half an hour after the lunch break should have started, with my friend and I (and some other friends) on board.

A group of us then went for lunch at the local pub, but, while sat in the garden, heard steam loco whistles which seemed to be coming from the Foxton direction... it appeared the locals were more interested in rides to Foxton than into the former quarry area, and I think five trains ran to Foxton during the afternoon (I heard one from the pub, and then saw and photographed four) as well as a few to the Unloading Pad.

2150 N Alvernon Way, Tucson Botanical Gardens — Butterfly Magic is back! It opens October 1, I’m so pleased!

Are you tired, but need someplace to take some great photos?

Not much walking here. Everything is in a confined area!

Are you bones sore, or you are just a little chilled? I know that’s a hard thing to imagine in Tucson, but the temps are lowering, and it won’t be long. Butterfly Magic is a wonderful place to go and warm up.

The Tucson Botanical Gardens are located on Alvernon just South of Grant. Not all that far from the Reid Park Zoo.You may want to go several times a year. At least in the past they have targeted different continents each month. So one month you can take photos of Indian butterflies, next month may be African butterflies.

Hint: You can buy butterfly guides for the exhibit in the gift shop. If you are going to share your photos, these guides are well worth it.

Zac Brown

Three-time GRAMMY award winning American country music troupe Zac Brown Band brought their huge stage show to North West London's Wembley Arena for a one-off UK show as part of their Jekyll + Hyde tour in support of their fourth major label album of the same name.

Playing a stage that had drums, additional percussion, backing singers and a three-piece brass section elevated both in front of one massive screen and above a second, the core eight-piece band were extended for this production, with a three-piece brass band and backing singers.

Bursting out onto the vast stage, Zac Brown and his band opened with Jekyll + Hyde track Homegrown, the audience immediately leaving their seats, those at the front giving them up permanently for the duration of the show.

Next up were number one singles Toes from 2008's The Foundation followed by Keep Me In Mind from it's follow-up You Get What You Give.

The fourth song of the night Day for the Dead from 2013's Dave Grohl-produced The Grohl Sessions, Vol. 1 brought with it a tale of how on Halloween, it is believed that a person's ancestors come back to visit them, just for one day.

Following Colder Weather, the extensive group moved to stools set up on the end of a short extended runway section, about ten rows into the audience for a short acoustic set.

Uncaged track Sweet Annie opened up the quietened-down section before Brown and co. launched into their rendition of Red Hot Chili Peppers hit Under The Bridge, which had the entire audience screaming along to every word.

"The next song is for our daughters" the Georgia native said as he introduced final song of the acoustic section, Jekyll + Hyde's I'll Be Your Man. "If you're a Dad and you have a daughter and you don't know what to tell her, this is for you."

Rather than ploughing straight into another track, the band broke for a brief intermission, so I decided it was time to grab myself a beer. Little did I expect, however, to join a conversation about the 1980's movie Labyrinth with Lennon Stella - one half of Lennon & Maisy, the Canadian music duo who star as sisters Maddie and Daphne Conrad in the Country music drama series Nashville. And it wasn't long until the gracious elder Stella was joined by her younger sibling and their mother, before it was time to head back into the arena for more from Zac Brown Band.

Following the intermission, the Country rockers carried on their high energy assault on Wembley Arena was a string of their own hits interspersed with Country-tinged covers of Bruno Mars chart-topper Locked Out of Heaven and Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, which featured a live rendition of the original's famous music video appearing on the vast digital screen stage backdrop.

"We do not take this night for granted" the 37-year-old bellowed, in awe of the massive UK crowd. "We're here for one reason" he said before charging into Chris Cornell-collaboration track Heavy Is The Head, Brown taking on joint vocal duties, nailing Cornell's dynamic range, which is no mean feat given the Seattleite's four-octave vocal range.

Led Zeppelin's Kashmir was the next song to get the Zac Brown Band cover treatment, heavy rock being represented dutifully.

The cheesy pop of Jekyll + Hyde track Beautiful Drug opened the two song encore, the merry band utilising the extended stage to dance around arm-in-arm before show closed with debut single Chicken Fried, an army of plaid shirts, jeans and cowboy hats in the audience lapping up every second of this rare exposure to American Country music royalty.

It's safe to say that Country music has an enamoured audience far from the Southern American states it calls home. And the expanding UK Country Music scene is opening up a brand new market for acts both big and small.

Day 2

It's been a bit of a revelation this lens.

1. I miss catch in focus

2. The preset manual/auto button is sticky. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Which means sometimes even when I have it at f22 it still overexposes, because it will click at wide open. Drove me crazy.

3. Every once in a while I can't seem to get this lens to focus to infinity.

But when you get the focus, and the exposure is right and the stars all align.... you get super sharp images. And the bokeh is something else.

Can't really complain about that.

As an eastbound Norfolk Southern container train approaches the Amtrak station in Waterloo, Indiana, the marker lights on the rear of the westbound Lake Shore Limited are fading in the distance on Track 1. I didn't hear the NS train call a signal on the radio but it might be train 206.

7. I drink a cup of green tea every night before bed :)

8. I can be incredibly quiet. And I can be obnoxiously loud. Depends on who I’m around and the mood I’m in

9. I used to figure skate and I quit right when I was getting pretty good. Part of me really regrets it. I always seem to take the easy way out, and I want to change that.

11. (Other than on the head/body), hair grosses me out. Real baaad.

12. Unlike most people my age, I really don’t care much about my cell phone. I’ve dropped one in the pool, the street, and my current one has a huge crack down the center :O

13. I often get into this really philosophical mindset where I question the world and what we’re all doing here and why we’re doing it and how we got here. It sounds crazy. It’s absolutely mind-blowing.

14. Sometimes I get so inspired by so many different things (i.e. photographs, artwork, clothing, colors) that I cannot contain myself. It’s this overwhelming surge of creative energy. Haha I sound nuts.

15. I can’t wait until I have my own home to decorate. I have so many plans!

16. I turn everything into a mirror. Yesterday I stood on top of the cat litter bin in order to see my reflection in the toaster.

***The doll on the right is wearing 2003 Getting There Fashions At the Airport #B2797.

PERSONAL FUN FACT: I always contemplated buying this set in stores, but when they came out, I was starting to drift away from dolls. I remember on one occasion I almost cracked and asked Dad for this set while at Toys 'R' Us. Not getting the New York Minute set was one of the doll related decisions I always regretted. I stalked the pair on eBay when I first got back into dolls, in 2011, but with no avail. I also routinely checked for it online over the years, hoping to catch a reasonable deal. I think that this set appeals to many collectors as it is Mary-Kate's first appearance with brown hair (although she has a lot of blonde in it too). For me, I was drawn to Mary-Kate for several reasons--number one, the brown hair. Number two, she was wearing a super cool outfit, one that I would totally have worn myself. And number three, the dolls based on the films were always my favorite to collect, even if I didn't care for the movie itself. I admit that New York Minute is one of my least favorite Mary-Kate and Ashley productions--there is a lot of pointless towel wearing and cheesy scenes in the film. I prefer their lower budget movies that had less action (although equally as corny). Of course, New York Minute is strangely one of the most memorable films, even if it is one of my least favorites. Of all the Mary-Kate and Ashley dolls I was missing, this set was the one I wanted most. One Sunday in 2013, my dream finally came true. Colleen and I were perusing tables at the local flea market, hunting for new dolls. I spotted Mary-Kate (the doll on the right) on a table, wearing Barbie clothes, for just $1. I almost left Ashley behind, but fortunately doubled back for her when I realized who she must be. Okay, so even though Mary-Kate is kind of the token doll from this set, what with her hair color and awesome outfit, Ashley is honestly prettier in my opinion. I was super grateful to finally have a set of these dolls, even if they weren't perfect. Mary-Kate was childhood desire that finally materialized nearly ten years later.

As I mentioned before, I did stalk this set continuously over the years. While I didn't hunt for it as often as say American Girl Caroline's Work Dress, Mary-Kate and Ashley dolls were one of the few things I checked eBay for every so often. Although I saw very little of the New York Minute pack in stores, it is one of the most common to find online...not for a reasonable price though. In March of 2021, I randomly thought I'd check Mary-Kate and Ashley stuff out on eBay. I happened to catch a streak of luck. I first found an excellent deal on my School Style Giftset, then I found a few fashion packs, and finally a lot with the New York Minute dolls was listed. What appealed to me (and my sister) about this particular listing was the fact that it had the boxed New York Minute dolls AND three boxed fashions. I had a gut feeling that these were MY dolls. Nobody bid on the listing for nearly a week, despite the fact that there were nine people watching. Since the bid was ending on a Tuesday afternoon when I'd be out work/driving Colleen to her second job, I wasn't sure how I'd win this set. Since the seller had a "make offer" button (it wasn't a "Buy It Now" scenario), we decided to go for it. The seller waited until the last hour before the offer expired and then accepted it. Apparently they were hoping someone would bid. But everyone watching probably thought they weren't going to have any competition and were waiting till the last minute. We had offered made an offer that was about $25 more than the set bid price. I figured if nine people watched and bid, it could easily have increased the bid to close to $25 on the day the listing ended. I was surprised nobody else had the same thought we did to make an offer...considering people paid $150 plus ALONE for a boxed set of these dolls (and that happened rather often). This formerly boxed Mary-Kate, on the left, is even prettier than my used doll. Maybe it works in her favor that she has her original outfit. But her face paint is so gorgeously done! I would still love to find an original outfit for my used lady someday too.

How I Did This:

1) I took a handheld shot using a Nikon D80 coupled with a Sigma 105mm lens - and I "filled" the frame with the complete flower so as to not have too much space left... and to make the flower really stand out

2) The daisy was in a planter sitting atop a four foot retaining wall and I stood below the wall and shot upwards against a gray sky

3) I converted the gray sky to black by using the "replace color" function embedded within the "Enhance" option in Photoshop Elements 5.0

4) I sharpened the image with the sharpening "Unmask" tool a bit to bring out the details of the orange blossom as it slowly begins to decay

I've learned so much from fellow shooters on Flickr over the last two years.....and I now try to explain how I craft my images so others can learn as well.

As most of you who are self taught know, it's really all about trial and error - but a little bit of instruction can sometimes help.....

1. i went over to a neighbor's house to pick these flowers this morning, and i found a teeny tiny feather clinging to one of the flower clusters. i've found five feathers in the past 24 hours. a powerful message in my world.

2. i feel rushed to savor the time spilling in front of me this week; next week i start school full-time. and the flowers are beginning to dwindle, so i feel rushed to create images for this set: flowers and skin before the flowers are all gone, and my time is spoken for with cerebral demands. (i much prefer the slow sensual heart space.)

3. i've yet to see a praying mantis or a monarch butterfly this summer. i won't feel like i've really lived a full summer until i see both of them.

4. i recently found this quote: "art is the concrete representation of our most subtle feelings." ~ agnes martin (isn't it lovely?)

5. i've been walking jazz and coco to school most mornings, and when i leave them at the front doors and walk back home through the thick morning dew shining in the soft sunlight, my heart sighs so loudly... i can almost hear it.

2. I can drink milk with ANYTHING edible, seriously<3

3. I like the left side of my body (face and all) better than my right.

4. I used to have size 00 gauges, but then figured out they were completely pointless.

5. I have the best memory for the smallest, most random things.

6. I may not look it, but I'm Hispanic (Colombian and Puerto Rican) and speak/read/write fluent Spanish. My hips (don't lie) and curves are proof of my Latin blood.

7. Despite that, I'm actually quite petite; 5'2" and 105 lbs.

8. I have this super obsession with sunrises, sunsets, the sky in general, stars, and anything space-related. And Taylor Swift. Lol

9. 7 is my absolute favorite number. It's everywhereee, and in the Bible tons! Next is 11. I don't like even numbers at ALL.

10. I'm Christian; part of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints aka LDS aka Mormon (:

BTW- I am discontinuing my 365 project. I'm a little disappointed in myself because I feel as though I never commit to anything, but it really IS so hard some days to take and upload good shots when you're busy 24/7. I'll probably still upload almost every day, but I'd rather not have the 365 pressure.

1. I was born 67 years ago. I was the youngest of 10 children, born at home. I lived in the country until I was around 9. In grade school, I worked at my dads creamery after school. In high school, I worked as a waitress after school, and week-ends. I got married at the age of 19. I had three children, and they are all in there 40's at this time. I have been divorced. I have been married to my last husband for 21 years. He has 2 children in their 20's. Together, we have 9 grandchildren.

2. When I was in grade school, Hopalong Cassidy came through our little town, on a train. Many were waiting for him to get off. This was a big event for us. Movie stars, wow. He kissed me on the cheek, and I ran to the creamery to tell my family. I really felt special. He must have seen the joy on my face, and couldn't resist.

3. The first two pictures below, was a hard time in my life. I got ring worms from a dog. I had to get all my hair cut off so they could give radiation treatments. My hair did not grow back for around a year. My mom got worried, but didn't tell me until they started to grow. I wore a scarf to school to cover my head. When they grew out, they were so curly, as you can see.

4. In my first years of marriage, to my children's dad, I became addicted to diet pills and alcohol. I know that I use to love to party in my teen-age years. Around the age of 32, I went to treatment for drinking and drugs. I was there for 31 days. It has been 35 years since my last drink. Thank God. I went to AA for 10 years until I got saved. I then no longer needed AA.

5. Twenty Five years ago, I truly asked Jesus into my heart. Shortley after, I got filled with The Holy Spirit. I am Penticostal. Having The Lord in my life is helping me to become an overcomer, in all areas of my life. I am far from perfect, but I am on my way.

6. I smoked one to three packs of cigerettes for around 30 some years. I had some growths in my throat that hurt clear to the back of my neck. One night, when I went to church, an evangelist prayed over me and said that I need to get rid of this, that is causing it. He didn't want to embarrass me about smoking in front of everyone. My healing began a week later, when I threw my cigerettes in the middle of a prayer meeting. It took around 3 years for my healing. It was a gradual healing as I walked in faith believing. I figured if The Lord told this evangelist, I better quit if I wanted to live.

7. In my 30's. I was involved with a movie. Up the Academy. They needed a crowd in the cheering section. I got to jump up and down, cheering. It was very interesting to watch them make a movie. I even got paid. Below is a picture of me with Tom Postum. I am not sure I spelled that right. I also got to have pictures taken with around 4 or 5 more actors. I decided to just put one picture in. Below is a picture also of Brenda Lee, when she came to Salina. She said that I could take it. If the pictures do not show up below, I wasn't suppose to put that many in. I will know when I am done.

8. My interests now is God, Family, Angels, and Job

9. My addictions are, starbucks coffee, flicker, sweets, flicker, snacks, flicker. God bless you all.

1. i am reminded that this is, indeed, an excellent exercise.

2. my startup disk is full.

3. my camera might be shooting corrupt images.

4. i am feeling so happy and hopeful about 2014 and none of these annoyances can take that away from me.

These three locos are my Wild Western-style engines. They are numbered as follows:

Engine No. 1) I created more realistic version of set 10254 (Winter Village holiday train) for all the train fans who don't like the engine. I added working pistons, and a more cohesive green color scheme plus two more sets of wheels on the engine while modeling it after the unique C.P. Huntington of the Central Pacific railroad. This loco pulls my 1870's military train.

Engine No. 2) This 4-4-0 "American" type engine was originally modeled after set 7597 (Western Train Chase) with some design inspiration from TF Twitch's "Humble Sapphire" 4-4-0. The engine also features a boiler copied from set 79111 (Constitution Train Chase) to keep it inline with the rest of my steam locomotives. This loco pulls my western freight train.

Engine No. 3) The red 4-6-0 "Ten Wheeler" type engine was originally modeled after set 7597 (Western Train Chase) with some design inspiration from TF Twitch's "Humble Sapphire" 4-4-0. The engine also features a boiler from set 79111 (Constitution Train Chase) and pulls my old-fashioned passenger train.

(Camera #59)

I finally bought another SX-70 for $14 at the best flea market/antiques shop in Pennsylvania. For lots of reasons. Let's name some!

1. I dropped my original SX-70 the summer after I bought it, which bent the metal arm holding the lensboard which allows it to hinge when it closes. My camera now never fully closes and latches tight, so I got this guy as a back-up, in case, God forbid, anything happens to my original.

2. I love the colors. Although this camera is plastic, unlike my original, I was excited to get an off-white/maroon leather combination. I was told when I bought it that I should replace the cracked, worn, dried-out leather. But I love it too much as is, and think it has way too much character to ever worry about replacing the leather. Now I am looking for something to seal it with.

3. I am becoming increasingly annoyed at the neutral density filter I have installed on my original. It is great for taking pictures outside, but sadly, inside, and without a tripod mount, it just fails to meet expectations. I want to keep this one as is without a filter, and use it strictly for indoor shots, or outside shots on overcast days or in the shade, or in general when a more blown-out image is desired. Obviously, that way I can use the fastest shutter settings on the camera and still overexpose the 600 film. I am still waiting to do some tests to see if any changes need to be made to the exposure system.

4. Can you ever have enough SX-70 cameras?

Another golden super moon on night 2. I blame the haze. The other interesting thing is that there was a lot more texture from the craters up around that 9-12 o'clock sector and around the edges than there was on night 1. I didn't expect there to be as much of a difference.

Double exposures project with Denise! June 2019.

I used a Pentax Espio and shot a whole roll of Kodak Gold 200 35mm film. Then I rewound it and sent it to Denise who took her photos over the top using a Canon AT-1. I was at home in Oxfordshire in the UK and Denise was in Wichita, Kansas USA!

Anybody who knows me knows I have an obsession with TimeHop, an app that goes back in time to everything you posted on facebook/twitter/instagram/etc on this day however many years ago.

The other day, I went on TimeHop and saw that I finished my AP Photo concentration last year around this time of year (!!!!) and I realized how (1) I have not uploaded in such a long time and (2) I miss doing levitation edits.

I was home this past weekend for a brief amount of time, and it was absolutely beautiful out. I miss having Emily model for me so I told her to put on a dress and flip flops, and told her to bring our handy dandy stool to our backyard.

I didn't intend on this photo coming out like this, and usually I would upload something better, but I don't have access to Photoshop so I'm using some free online program that isn't nearly as good. Hopefully, by the summer, I'll have Photoshop on my computer! But we'll see. Maybe I'll do a reedit if I have time, but with only six weeks left in this semester, I have prelims and finals to worry about. Oh joy.

A closer version of the same crocus using the same pp. SLightly more natural color outcome I think. The helicoid extension tube I use allows quite a range of macro from about 1:1 to 2:1 I think.
