As soon as I knew I was going to Iceland I started to imagine how I was going to take this shot. I had thought about it lit by a sunrise, or with the setting sun in the background or even at night with the aurora. Unfortunately our itenerary meant that I could only go in the middle of the afternoon. The light was constantly changing and I didnt want to do a long exposure as I didnt want to loose detail in the water, so I ended up bracketting all my shots to make sure I got the best exposure. Its maybe not the best shot Ive seen of Kirkjufell but Im happy with it.
Mit dem Kanu auf dem Fluss Regen zu fahren ist zuweilen zwar sehr anstrengend, aber mit den richtigen Leuten, macht es sehr viel Spass.
Driving a canoe on the river Regen is sometimes indeed very tiring, but with the right people, it makes a lot of fun.

Winter mood on the castle island Rodewisch / Vogtland Germany
Dieses Renaissanceschlösschen wurde um 1500 gebaut. Bei den ursprünglichern Erbauern geht man von den Herren von Reuss, Vögte von Plauen aus. Im 16. Jahrhundert wurden die Herren von der Planitz als Eigentümer genannt.
The Renaissance small castle was established about around 1500. Before the castle are the rests of the castle Göltzsch, a mitteralterlichen ring embankment arrangement with the foundation wall of a so-called steady house surrounded by a water jump. This old castle originated around the turn of 12. by the 13-th century. With the builders of the arrangement one goes out from the Mr. Reuss, stewards to Plauen, as an owner. In the 16-th century Messrs. von Planitz were called as an owner.

Back to my Iceland shots, as I've not had much time to go out with my camera this week. I just loved the colour of the sky this particular morning!
Lorenzo State Historic Site is a mansion built by Colonel John Lincklaen, founder of the village of Cazenovia, NY.[2] Colonel Linklaen was the agent of the Holland Land Company upon whose recommendation the Company purchased the 135,000-acre (55,000 ha) tract of land where the village grew. The painted brick mansion, begun in 1807 and completed in 1809, overlooks picturesque Cazenovia Lake. It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in July, 1970.[1] Located on the grounds is the separately listed Rippleton Schoolhouse.

Stadhuis (Town hall ) in Zaandam, Netherlands is part of the charming, Dutch architectural complex right by the train station. Zaandam is just few km North of Amsterdam, and few from famous windmills village Zaanse Schans.

What we have here quite beautiful seasons in the spring everything is light green, and the summer everything is green in the fall colors of the rainbow and in winter everything is white, gorgeous !!!
Oslo Opera House. We had great days in Oslo and enjoyed the city, museums and architecture. The low light of December days in Scandinavia is a challenge for every photographer.
Walking along the outer wall trail at Stettenfels Castles.
The castle is open to the public and hosts community concerts and theater events during the year. The owners rent out the rooms of the castle for events such as receptions, and there is a permanent beer garden in the castle grounds. The grounds are used for a variety of agriculture, including vineyards, and a stud farm.
Constructed in 1894, the courthouse retains much of its original architectural detail includ- ing stained-glass skylights, decorative tilework, and even light fixtures, furniture, and telephone
booth (a la Superman). To commemorate the building’s centennial, the Auglaize
County Historical Society restored the Statue of Justice, which
formerly stood on top of the tower, but now graces the building’s lobby. You are
more than welcome to visit the courthouse during busi- ness houses—8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through
Friday--but please remember that this is a working building. Court may be in session

Sometimes I take photos close to the ground for the effect... other times, like this one, it's because I forgot my tripod! I used my sweatshirt instead to set my camera on.
View over the rolling hills of West Sussex countryside from Cissbury Ring; this is about 5km from Worthing on the coast - the thin blue line on the left hand side on the horizon is the sea.
Taken at First Vermilion Lake in Banff National Park. This is probably the most photographed spot in the park.

A bracketed, long exposure, landscape image of ice bergs on the beach at Jökulsárlón in Iceland.
It is a year ago, almost to the day, since I was here. I wish I could go back and do it all again sometime. Such an incredible place to have been.
A beautiful sunrise view at Midden Delfland. On the far left you can see a man and his dog obviously enjoying this splendid morning.

The road SP 146 between Pienza and San Quirico d'Orcia offers a magnificent view of the Val d'Orcia, which is often dipped in morning fog. In the background left the "Cappella della Madonna di Vitaleta", means: "Chapel of our Lady of Vitaleta".
