The road crosses the desert under a stunning sky full of clouds and light streaks on the land. In the American deserts is easy to view this kind of spectacular scenarios, and it is not possible to get bored photographing them.

Downtown Dallas’ 72-story-tall Bank of America Plaza rises into the clear North Texas sky.

A superwide view upwards into the cupola of the Theatinerkirche church.

The official name of this church is "Stiftskirche St. Kajetan", it is the church of the catholic Theatines order (Latin name Ordo Clericorum Regularium). The church was build from 1663 to 1690 in late baroque style.

Wusstet ihr schon, das Geparden die einzigen Raubkatzen sind die Schnurren?

Und das wenn ein Gepard gezähmt wird für den Rest seines Lebens zahm bleibt?

Did you know that cheetahs are the only big cats that purr?

And if a cheetah is tamed for the rest of his life remains tame?

This too is one of my older photos, was still taken with the Canon EOS 400d.

It's 6.15 a.m. Many people are already at work to make possible other people travell towards their vacation place ! I always have a thought for them.

I'll be back on flickr in a couple of days. Happy week-end to those who are here !

Thank you for brightening my days with your beautiful images and kind comments. You are the gift that keeps on giving.

Much appreciated!

The western facade of the New Schleißheim Palace.

The New Schleißheim Palace was built 1701-1704 by Enrico Zuccalli for the Elector of Bavaria, Maximilian II Emanuel, who expected to become emperor of the Holy Roman Empire and therefore felt the need for a representative new residence.

Unfortunately Maximilian II Emanuel never became the emperor...

ℹ️ In case you wonder how an over 300 years old building can be called "New Palace", the photo was taken from the nearly 400-year old "Old Palace", which is located just west of the New Palace.

With its numerous coves, white sand beaches and crystal blue waters, the south coast of Sardinia is a very attractive place - an almost tropical paradise that would not look out of place in the Caribbean - minus the palm trees, of course :)

Sheep on the Panzerwiese (= "Tank Meadow"), which got it's name from being a former military training area, nowadays it is a nature reserve in the north of Munich.

A sculpture of 15 wild horses has crowned a barren Central Washington hillside for more nearly two decades, but the rusted sheets of steel still are an inspiring sight to travelers along busy I- 90.

The 200-foot line of life-size charging horses, the creation of David Govedare of Chewelah, Wash., captures a mystical spirit from a time when real wild horses roamed the steppes.

Titled "Grandfather Cuts Loose the Ponies," the scene symbolically re-creates the Great Spirit turning loose a herd of wild horses above the Columbia River's Wanapum Lake.

Sunset above the Fröttmaninger Heide, a former military training area that is now a nature reserve.

Of all the shots I took this particular evening, this photo is the one most in focus. The red color is accurate, too; I didn't "add" it in. ;)
