Ni la hora del día, ni la luz eran las más adecuadas, pero he querido ponerla por la belleza del lugar, a mi me pareció espectacular. El río también muy bajo de agua.
El Meandro Melero es una de esas sorpresas imprescindibles que guarda la comarca cacereña de Las Hurdes.
El capricho de la naturaleza ha querido que el río Alagón forme en el mismo límite de las provincias de Salamanca y Cáceres una pronunciada curva que vista desde un punto más alto permite apreciar una de las imágenes más bellas que se pueden obtener en la Península Ibérica.
Un impresionante meandro acompañado al fondo por el siempre espectacular paisaje del Parque Natural de Las Batuecas-Sierra de Francia.
El Melero del Alagón ofrece una estampa armónica y coloristadesde el mirador de La Antigua, que se encuentra a poco más de dos kilómetros de Ríomalo de Abajo. Se trata del lugar ideal para captar la grandeza de la estilosa curva que realiza el río.
Das Naturschutzgebiet Zickersche Berge gehört zum Biosphärenreservat Südost-Rügen. Die hügelige Landschaft kommt besonders deshalb gut zur Geltung, da sie kaum bewaldet ist. Die ursprünglich dichten Laubwälder waren bereits im Mittelalter verschwunden. Nachwachsendes diente als Bau- und Brennstoff. In den letzten Jahrhunderten dienten die Zicker Berge als Weideland, vor allem für Schafe. Die Trockenrasenflächen, die an eine Steppenlandschaft erinnern, bieten in den Sommermonaten nur wenig Nährstoffe. Temperaturen von bis zu 70 Grad Celsius werden in Bodennähe erreicht und bescheren Pflanzen und Tieren extreme Lebensbedingungen.
Doch die Weite der Landschaft fasziniert, besonders durch die fantastische Aussicht auf Boddengewässer und Halbinseln. Im Frühsommer gedeiht nach Regentagen eine üppige Blütenpracht, die in Ihrer Farbenpracht nur von der intensiven Laubfärbung des Herbstes überstrahlt wird. Übrigens: Der Herbst hält sich länger als auf dem Festland und reicht mit seiner Farbenpracht meist weit und reicht mit seiner Farbenpracht meist weit in den November hinein.

After a full fortnight with thunderstorms and heavy rain the weather calmed down today. Time to go out fishing. Unfortunately the pikes did not know about the weather change so I changed from fishing rod to camera after a few hours.
Seen along the way in Amsterdam walking back to Huub's apartment for a nice dinner. A bit of ICM, actually Unintended CM but I like the result. One of those images that says cool when you see the possibilities. It's actually a bicycle being carried down some steps and no overlays or blending was involved. I'm not really sure how it wound up recorded like this and all in 1/10s but I liked it...

I liked the way the late afternoon sun was shining through the trees and lighting these miniature daffodils which were nestling in the grass.
Mist is illuminated by the morning sun on a branch of Lake Worth at the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge, Texas.

The Laugavegur is a famous trekking route in South-West Iceland from the hot springs area of Landmannalaugar to the glacial valley of Þórsmörk . It is noted for the wide variety of landscapes on its 55 km (34 mi) path. The route is typically completed over 2–4 days with potential stops at the mountain huts at Hrafntinnusker, Álftavatn, Hvanngil and Emstrur. An ultramarathon is held on the route each July. It is possible to combine the trek with the Fimmvörðuháls route which goes over the pass from Þórsmörk to Skógar for an additional one or two days or an additional 25 km (16 mi). Landmannalaugar, Þórsmörk, and Skógar are all reachable by bus during the summer. A bus from Hella connects with Álftavatn once a day during the summer.
