Grand Teton National Park is een nationaal park in Wyoming in de Verenigde Staten, ten zuiden van Yellowstone. Het park is genoemd naar de Grand Teton, een van de bergen van het Tetongebergte, 4197 meter hoog en de hoogste berg van het park. Het Tetongebergte (onderdeel van de Rocky Mountains) heeft zijn naam gekregen van een Franse pelsjager, die ze tétons noemde, Frans voor tepel. Het park heeft een oppervlakte van 1255 km² (bron : Wikipedia). Hier een blik over het Jackson Lake (op een hoogte van 2064m) met reeds volop herfstkleuren in de bomen.

Grand Teton National Park is a United States National Park in northwestern Wyoming. At approximately 310,000 acres (480 sq mi; 130,000 ha; 1,300 km2), the park includes the major peaks of the 40-mile-long (64 km) Teton Range (part of the Rocky Mountains) as well as most of the northern sections of the valley known as Jackson Hole. It is only 10 miles (16 km) south of Yellowstone National Park (source : Wikipedia). A view on Jackson Lake with already autumn colours in the trees.

Here's another look at the same bird that I posted an in-flight shot of a couple of days ago, this time perched. It was a foggy, drizzly day, accounting for the wet look of some of the feathers. The earlier, in-flight shot is in the first comment.

Flickr friends, I'll be offline for a good part of the day on Tuesday but will catch up with your images when I return.

The Kori Bustard is the heaviest bird which is able to fly.

Nonetheless, we´ve only seen them walking in the arid Central Kalahari of Botswana.

This place is one of the famous spot in my hometown.

意外に、地元でもここに行った事のある人は

少ないみたいです。ここどこって人が多かったです。

でも、私も含め多くの人がこの下の道路を通勤で走ってます。

現在建設中の中部横断道もこの下を通ります。

なお清水では日本平、三保の松原、薩埵峠あたりが人気です。

Elbow Falls in Kananaskis Alberta seen from the downstream side. It is not for the faint of heart to get here, a serious cliff and muddy slope in the rain were my challenge. On a dry summer day it wouldn't be so bad though its still steep!

The Salt Lake Temple is a temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located on Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. At 253,015 square feet, it is the largest LDS temple by floor area.

Mên-an-Tol (The holed stone), Cornwall, exact age unsure, probably Neolithic, possibly Bronze Age, either way a great place to visiit and spend some time....taken with a not quite so ancient iPhone 6s Plus with Zeiss ExoLens (Wide Angle), Shoulderpod S1, Hisy Remote, Snapseed on iPad Pro.

It was our first day in Yellowstone and I had gotten up early in anticipation of what hopefully would be a good morning of shooting. I made several stops at the pull-offs along the west entrance road, getting a nice sunrise and an osprey sitting in a tree above the Madison River. There were quite a few (at least so I thought that morning) cars and trucks stopped at a particular pull-off, so I got out to see what was drawing everyone's attention. It was an elk herd with a few animals on each side of the river. As more elk began to cross the river, the light turned truly divine and this little one decided to pause as it walked in the water. I love how its head was looking up and into the light - an early morning devotion?

It was a thunderstorm photo session and after the processing session these colors fit best to the scene! Nothing todo with reality, but sometimes dreams are allowed...

Usualy we get sunsets&sunrises in October in our region, but in this year is nature totally mad ... it bring beautiful colors everywhere in Lower Austria !😜

Shot taken of one of the most photographed piers on the West Coast of the United States. Santa Monica Pier has without a doubt one of the best early evening views of anywhere that I have been.

This Great Tit flew into our living room and landed in our orchid pot. After a few moments of contemplation she flew away! In the meantime I could take some pictures of this little bird

Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary (RAKWS). RAKWS is located at the head of the 14Km long watercourse known as Dubai Creek, and covers an area of 620 hectares featuring sabkhas saline flats, intertidal mudflats and mangroves, small lagoons and pools, and a few tiny islands which lie at the interface between the Persian Gulf and the Al Awir Desert. During winter, RAKWS supports more than 20,000 water birds of 67 species and acts as a critical staging ground for the wintering birds of the East African-West Asian Flyway. The site hosts more than 500 species of flora and fauna and is one of the best-managed arid zone wetlands in the region. Located within Dubai city, it is an important eco-tourism destination and receives increasing numbers of local and international visitors.
