Op 30 december 2019 was de fraaie 1618 van Captrain onderweg met een beladen LPG-trein als trein 51053 vanuit de Sloehaven. Anno 2023 staat de 1618 in Amersfoort terzijde, rijdt deze trein bij DB Cargo en is de fraaie bomenrij in de achtergrond gekapt.

A river of people. There are some, who refuse to flow.
Note to self: (22.11.2019) I miss the city already.
A long exposure with the Hoya Pro ND32, which I think creates a 'dry ice' effect around the exposed rocks. The sea was pretty rough and I managed to grab my tripod just in time after this shot to avoid a soaking :)

El curiós i minuscul monestir de St. Salvador de la Vedella es va salvar de les aigues del pantà de La Baells pel roc sobre el que està construit.
Tot i les seves minuscules dimensions, és un dels monestirs més antics del Berguedà, conegut des d'època carolingia, l'any 830 !!!

This crowded rock holds the very old abbey of St. Salvador de la Vedella, dating from the IX Century, in the Carolingian era. It now lays mostly surrounded by the waters of La Baells reservoir. It was saved by its perched construction, like a tiny Catalan Meteora.

As I approached him with the camera, he angrily puffed up his feathers in an aggressive pose....
(Both parents incubate, taking turns to go out to forage so that the eggs are constantly guarded. Parents switch duty every other day during incubation. Eggs left unattended are rapidly eaten by California gulls.)

What an impressive City, New York. But how beautiful it looks I noticed on my way from Staten Island to Manhattan when the sun set down. The city looks completely different every minute when the light and the angle changes slowly and the Skyscrapers glitter and sparkle like a Diamond

The colors of fall are finally reaching into Manhattan and Central Park is a beautiful place to take them all in.
I think this is a male Lesser Scaup but it might be a Greater Scaup. One of the wild ducks at Lafreniere Park, Metairie, Louisiana.
During my last trip to RMNP I spent a few days with my daughter in the boulder area. She wanted to scout out the college there. So, I got up early on the second day and drove out way past the FlatIron mountains and was rewarded with a very peaceful sunrise.
