Recently mother nature has changed the landscape here. lately I've been reminiscing from a weekend trip i did earlier in the year such a beautiful and amazing place. See more photos of that trip on my facebook page.
There is hardly a better place in my area to enjoy a perfect Autumn day than the open-air -museum in Detmold. We spent a whole day in beautiful sunshine without a cloud in this lovely location.
The LWL-Freilichtmuseum in Detmold is a great place to learn and experience the world of our ancestors. The open-air-museum is covered with buildings, tools, animals and plants of countryside life in Northwest Germany in the last couple of centuries. An endless source of inspiration for HDR photography.

El Puente románico sobre el rÃo Arga, mandado construir, según la tradición, por una reina desconocida es de grácil figura y una hermosa esbeltez, siendo uno de los puentes medievales más importantes de Europa.
Es uno de los ejemplos de arquitectura civil más interesantes del Camino de Santiago en Navarra y punto de encuentro de peregrinos que han tejido a lo largo de los siglos miles de historias y leyendas.
Las aguas del rÃo Arga, que discurre bajo la imponente arcada del centenario puente, susurran los más sorprendentes relatos a los viajeros que se dejan cautivar por su murmullo. Sólo hay que prestar atención y podrá escuchar la pintoresca leyenda del "txori".
Tuvo 3 torres defensivas, dos en sus extremos y otra central, en la que se ubicaba la imagen renacentista de la Virgen del Puy o del Txori.
En torno a esta virgen existe una leyenda que cuenta que la imagen recibÃa la visita de un pajarillo ("txori" en euskera), que la cuidaba y acicalaba quitándole las telarañas de sus alas y lavándole la cara con agua que recogÃa en el Arga. Dicen que el dÃa que aparecÃa el "txori" se echaban las campanas al vuelo y se celebraban fiestas religiosas.

Schloss Brake near Lemgo is a castle built in the style of the Weserrenaissance. We used the second advent weekend for a visit to attend an interesting exhibition about historic maps and navigation.

Pardon pour le flou, mais photographier une coccinelle "sauvage" au décollage, ce n'est pas évident.
De nombreux photographes enferment des insectes dans de petites boîtes après y avoir recréé un biotope afin de les photographier plus facilement.
Ce n'est pas le cas de celle-ci, observée en pleine nature 😊

Seen here feeding on Knapweed at the side of the River Dove at Milldale, Staffordshire Peak District. This is the closest I've managed to get to one of these beauties...the rest of the time they've just flown past me at a 100 mph!!! I think this is a male due to the rich yellow.

A fairly large, pale yellow butterfly, Brimstone adults hibernate through cold weather, so may be seen flying on warm days throughout the year, although they are most common in the spring.

A focus stacked, landscape image of fog over a pond in Perthshire, Scotland.
I had to focus stack this as the camera was hand held and there was not enough light to use a smaller aperture to get the depth of field I wanted without having to use a tripod. Good to be able to think on my feet though.
In 2006 I had two times the opportunity to migrate into the valley of the Havasupai Indians and see this magnificent waterfall and take pictures of course. Unfortunately, destroyed a flood in 2008 a part of the beautiful lime sinter terraces .
The Havasupai Indians are also called "the people of the blue-green water". Blue-green has been the water the day before. In the night, however, it had rained heavily in the mountains, so that in the early morning a red-brown muddy broth rolled into the valley, probably a not-often-seen drama.
Unfortunately, a strong wind blew, so a fine spray of dirty water dyed everything including the camera.
In 2006 hatte ich zwei mal die Gelegenheit, in das Tal der Havasupai Indianer zu wandern und diesen großartigen Wasserfall zu sehen und natürlich zu fotografieren. Leider zerstörte eine Flut im Jahr 2008 einen Teil der schönen Kalk-Sinter-Terrassen.
Die Havasupai Indianer werden auch "die Leute vom blaugrünen Wasser" genannt. Blau-grün ist das Wasser auch am Tag vorher gewesen. In der Nacht hatte es jedoch in den Bergen stark geregnet, so dass sich am frühen Morgen überraschend eine rot-braune schlammige Brühe in das Tal wälzte, vermutlich ein nicht oft gesehenes Schauspiel.
Leider wehte ein starker Wind, weshalb sich ein feiner Sprühnebel des schmutzigen Wassers auf alles einschliesslich der Kamera legte.

Re-worked copy of an older image taken at the beautiful lake Doxa, last fall. The colours of the scenery are beautiful by themselves, but I tried to give an extra fairy-tale look. Lake Doxa, Corinth, Greece. November '15

In this church I was baptized, had my First Communion and Confirmation.
Heute ist hier bei uns in Bayern das Erntedankfest. Ich wünsche allen einen schönen Herbst.
