The mood and atmosphere of Venice is so romantic. It seems to intensify in the dim light of morning and evening. This scene is from a rather foggy morning along St Marks Basin.
Another picture of my series Herbst am Rhein near Remagen I now play. Many kilometers can be walked along the Rhine or cycling. It is a popular excursion destination for photographers and cyclists. Have fun viewing.

Looking up at the corner of Wacker Avenue and Franklin Street in Chicago's Loop, the elliptical shaped building on the left is the Hyatt Center. The building in the middle, located one block back, is the Franklin Center and the building on the right is 111 South Wacker.

Who has found the spider??? Focus on it!
One year ago today at the "Prinzenkopf" tower between Bullay and Pünderich on the river Moselle.
The river here makes a long bend, coming from the right and left flows downriver.

Remembering an ice-covered beacon on the south pier in St. Joseph, MIchigan from January of this year. I'm ready for winter photography again!
A large stand of golden aspen sit nicely between Pyramid peak and Patricia lake. A shot from a calmer morning in comments.
Autumn just doesn't last long enough.....

In 2006 I had two times the opportunity to migrate into the valley of the Havasupai Indians and see this magnificent waterfall and take pictures of course. Unfortunately, destroyed a flood in 2008 a part of the beautiful lime sinter terraces .
The Havasupai Indians are also called "the people of the blue-green water". Blue-green has been the water the day before. In the night, however, it had rained heavily in the mountains, so that in the early morning a red-brown muddy broth rolled into the valley, probably a not-often-seen drama.
Unfortunately, a strong wind blew, so a fine spray of dirty water dyed everything including the camera.

There's not much color to be seen yet in the woods near our new place. Hopefully, soon...

A focus stacked, landscape image of fog over a pond in Perthshire, Scotland.
I had to focus stack this as the camera was hand held and there was not enough light to use a smaller aperture to get the depth of field I wanted without having to use a tripod. Good to be able to think on my feet though.
Brimstone Butterfly - Gonepteryx rhamni
Knapweed - Centaurea nigra
Seen here feeding on Knapweed at the side of the River Dove at Milldale, Staffordshire Peak District. This is the closest I've managed to get to one of these beauties...the rest of the time they've just flown past me at a 100 mph!!! I think this is a male due to the rich yellow.
INFO.
A fairly large, pale yellow butterfly, Brimstone adults hibernate through cold weather, so may be seen flying on warm days throughout the year, although they are most common in the spring.
Family: Whites and Yellows
Size: Large
Wing Span Range (male to female): 60mm
I'm just addicted to mother nature and wildflowers, thank goodness there is no cure :))
