One of my flickr contacts Damian_Ward, a very talanted landscape photographer, having a show during the weekend at his home. So UK folks and non, if you happen to be in the area take the chance, don't hesitate and go visit Damians works, I would do if I could.

Virtually no colour in this sunrise ... quite a contrast with the one the day before - see previous posting. We get this wonderful mist almost every morning in the early Autumn.

Enjoying some solitude at the punch bowl waterfall. I'm sure later in the day this place was crawling with people. But early in the morning, I had it all to myself.
Imagine having the whole bay to yourself and fishing in the calm waters of the Indian Ocean. The Seychelle Islands have many scenes like this.
I climbed the icy steps of the St. Joseph Lighthouse to get different perspective of the sunset over Lake Michigan. I had to crop the image more than I wanted to because the right and lower margins didn't fare well while the pano was being constructed in Photoshop.
Taranaki falls tumble over the 20 metres edge of a large lava flow, which erupted from Ruapehu 15,000 years ago, then plunges into a boulder-ringed pool. From below the falls there are fabulous views into the water-worn gorges of the Wairere Stream.
Yesterday after sunset, the sky on the Moselle colored in delicately tender pink tones.
In the picture the wine-growing community Lieser near Bernkastel-Kues with the newly renovated Castle Lieser, which will soon open after extensive renovation as first class hotel.

A knight carries spears used in a joust at this year's Michigan Renaissance Festival, near Holly, Michigan. And he's walking beside a high wooden fence for Fence Friday too. :-)
HFF!
Taken in the Delfshaven area of Rotterdam just before the sun broke the horizon. It meant an early rise and an hours walk from my hotel room to get there, but it was well worth it... And I had the rest of the day to relax, sip coffee and watch the world get up and go about the new day!

El sol se va; la sombra se amontona;
las nubes en opacos escuadrones
avanzan al ocaso, y se abandona
la atmósfera a sus rápidas visiones
El sol se va; las nieblas se levantan;
los fuegos del crepúsculo se alejan;
murmura el árbol y las aves cantan;
