The Dreifaltigkeitskirche is a small Baroque church that was built from 1711 to 1718 according to plans by Giovanni Antonio Viscardi.
It is the only church in Munich that was not destroyed during World War II.

I was looking through my archives the other day and I found this shot of Angkor Wat at sunset that I had never uploaded before - it brings back happy memories and on this grey and rainy day, I wish I was there instead!

And they are priceless.'

A beautiful morning in the Derbyshire peak district with great friend Jon Sargisson this morning, although it seemed we were never quite in the right place at the right time, we did manage to capture some wonderful moody shots at Chatsworth, the mist never let us see the majestic house but it did provide the atmosphere y the river Derwent
A view from the Wittelsbacherbrücke towards northeast, with the Weideninsel in the center and the St. Maximilian church in the left background.

The world is beautiful, it is that part of inhuman humanity that makes it ugly, but we always continue to keep intact our positive amazement towards the free gift that nature offers us daily.
I like that sometimes we still wonder about the little things, in this ugly world, to me the color of the sky, how beautiful it can be at sunset.

"At sea, you learn important things when everything is calm, but you only understand the fundamental ones with a storm."
The Castello del Boccale rises in Livorno, south of Antignano, along the coastal road to Quercianella in the stretch of coast called "Boccale" or "Cala dei Pirati". The castle dates back to the second half of the nineteenth century, when it was built over a Medici tower in 1595. It was one of the many watch towers that guarded the coast in a complex defense system.

Lots of "ghosts" - but then it is a busy place and honestly I'm too lazy too clone them all out.

I set off at 5am on a 3 hour drive to get the sunrise on Buachaille Etive Mor (the mountain in the background). The weather forecast had said it would be clear at first with rain moving in later. You can see from the sky that was not quite the case when I got there. It's not the photo I wanted and I've had to tweak this a lot but I wanted to post some outcome for my day!!
I couldn't believe the depth of moss etc., all over the branches of the trees in this valley bottom. Like giant sponge fingers....they can support gardens of ferns too......truly beautiful....Handheld, Zeiss ExoLens, remote, cropped & Snapseed on iPhone.

Two other versions from pretty exactly one year earlier:
With Hurricane Joaquin, it had rained for a couple of weeks and the flooding and standing water had allowed millions of mosquitoes to breed. I was standing in 6 inches of water in a marshy area to get the setting sun in the middle of the dock. I think I got a thousand bites and was really concerned about snakes but the capture was worth it. My wife and son are on either side of the setting sun enjoying the view.
