Another shot of the wild ponies on Cefn Bryn, Gower, Wales. Zeiss ExoLens (Wide-Angle), handheld shot, then groomed a little in Snapseed on iPad Pro.
One of those shots where if I managed to take two steps to the left the composition would have been perfect, unfortunately I was standing right of the edge of the loch as it was. I think it looks good in black and white to emphasise the mist and contrast with the trees in the distance.
des pas sur la neige Debussy ( by Michelangeli )
The sixth of Claude Debussy's first set of preludes for piano evokes a stark, glacial landscape of resigned sadness and solitude.
From my archives (2010) Not a single snowflake this Winter in Paris !

'Het Speulderbos' is called ' the forest of the dancing trees'. The forest is not just mysterious, it is also very rare. It's a paradise for birds (of prey), deer, badgers and wild boars.

Christmas is less than a fortnight away and nature here in Ostwestfalen is like early Spring. We used Sunday afternoon for an extended hiking tour around home waters of the river Werre in the Löhne area.

As you can see on the picture in the first comment Cortez is very skinny, but the good news is he doesnot need insuline anymore since september 2016. And he still is doing well. Allthough he sleeps more, his appetite is good and he still can jump on the kitchen counter to see if their is some food left.

I do not know how it ended. But chances are, that the cat did get what the cat wanted.
Addendum (2021) I miss these moments, I know, this situation is going to be over, but nevertheless...
..of the Wittekindsweg you find the Margerethenkapelle. October waved goodby with sunshine and warm tempereratures and we used the perfect weather for an extended hiking tour on the Wittedindsweg, a crest trail on the Wiehengebirge from Porta Westfalica in the East to the Osnabrück area in the West. Before the sun went down we visited the most interesting spots of the Eastern part of the trail.
