This time I was lucky to catch a Squirrel eating a giant mushroom inside a tree trunk.

Dryopida is a village in Kythnos island, Greece. It most likely got its name from the first residents of the island, the Dryopes. A few years ago it was nominated as a traditional settlement because of its architecture.

Muchas gracias a tod@s !!!

Thaks so much for all !!

A heroic President on horseback, but instead of George Washington in uniform it's Ronald Reagan in a t-shirt. A tribute to Reagan's visit to Dixon in 1950, when he rode in the town's "Injun Summer Days" parade. - See more at: www.roadsideamerica.com/tip/31830#sthash.YosrjNTA.dpuf

Nothing special here, folks…just me fooling around with some textures on a random shot looking down the Chicago River so that I don’t forget completely how to use my photo software. I’ve been pretty uninspired photographically lately, and have rarely even picked up a camera, with seemingly so many other things to do.

My wife and I are still busy with all of the things associated with selling our house in Illinois and preparing for a move early next year to Michigan. I will be back regularly on Flickr at some point, but it likely won’t be for a while yet. In the meantime, Happy Thanksgiving to all of you who are celebrating, and my warmest wishes to everyone!

View from Wannenkopfhütte to Oberstdorf beneath the clouds and the Nebelhorn also in clouds.

Here's another look at the same bird that I posted an in-flight shot of a couple of days ago, this time perched. It was a foggy, drizzly day, accounting for the wet look of some of the feathers. The earlier, in-flight shot is in the first comment.

Flickr friends, I'll be offline for a good part of the day on Tuesday but will catch up with your images when I return.

...of another kind. Some fun with light painting in post, not in-camera.

The Kori Bustard is the heaviest bird which is able to fly.

Nonetheless, we´ve only seen them walking in the arid Central Kalahari of Botswana.

This big boy, and his mate are fairly new residents to the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans. They can be found at the 'old' orangutan pen. This guy is very colorful and wild looking. I went there on Sunday and got to see them for my first time.

Elbow Falls in Kananaskis Alberta seen from the downstream side. It is not for the faint of heart to get here, a serious cliff and muddy slope in the rain were my challenge. On a dry summer day it wouldn't be so bad though its still steep!

And once again... squirrel... :-))

Many thanks to everyone for your visit, comments and faves! Much appreciated! 😊

Have a nice day!

Windjana Gorge at sunset...the black "logs" in the water are freshwater crocodile snouts...at dusk the sky fills with thousands of fruit bats, that run the risk of becoming supper if they get too close to the water. Its quite a spectacle...

These little characters are extremely common on the trails at many of the State Parks and nature preserves where I live.

...when boats seem to float on clouds and wild dreams in reality.

Thank you all for your wonderful support. You’ re great!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder regarding Peziza repanda, commonly known as the Palomino cup or recurved cup, is a species of fungus in the genus Peziza, family Pezizaceae.

I found this on a walk through a Bluebell wood, growing on a very large decaying Beech tree along with Lycogala terretre - plasmodium (slime mould) and Glistening ink caps.

A first for me too (yay!) as I've never seen this variety of cup fungus before, it's a little gem, a beauty! :)
