The light is quite magical in Venice! It seems to play tricks on the eye and of course the camera. At dusk, it tuned this scene and buildings on the Grand Canal into a picture of the past. That is if you ignore the modern boats.

The Regattastrecke Oberschleißheim (Oberschleißheim Regatta Course) is an artificial lake that was build for the 1972 Olympic Games as the rowing and canoe sprint venue.
The lake is 2,230 metres long and 140 metres wide. Since 2018 it is under Denkmalschutz (scheduled monument, historic landmark).
It is still used as training facility for local rowing clubs and for related sports events, e.g the World Rowing Cup 1997 and the 2007 World Rowing Championships.

Hummingbird hawk-moth, Krakau, Poland
I never saw this before and it was difficult to take a picture
The hummingbird hawk-moth is distributed throughout the northern Old World from Portugal to Japan, but is resident only in warmer climates (southern Europe, North Africa, and points east). It is a strong flier, dispersing widely and can be found virtually anywhere in the hemisphere in the summer. However it rarely survives the winter in northern latitudes (e.g. north of the Alps in Europe, north of the Caucasus in Russia). They have been spotted in Newfoundland, Canada and Malaysia[1] as well.
Moths in the Hemaris genus of the family Sphingidae are known as "hummingbird moths" in the US, and "bee moths" in Europe, which sometimes causes confusion between this species and the North American genus.

Bellagio is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Como in the Italian region of Lombardy. It is located on Lake Como, also known by its Latin-derived name, the Lake of Lario. The arms of the lake form an inverted Y. The triangular land mass at the base of the inverted Y is the Larian Triangle. The Como arm of the lake lies to its south west, the Lecco arm of the lake to its south east. At the northern point of the triangle sits Bellagio, looking across to the northern arm of the lake and, behind it, the Alps. It has always been famous for its location.

Still shocked about the Nice horror...
Somehow life goes on
but when it's said and done
it's such a bitter pill
when you think the battle's won
you hear the distant guns
of all those fighting still
the battle's in our heads
one we alway lose
whichever side we choose
we can paint the planet red
or black and blue instead
but we are one world.
No, this is not the actual name of this recumbent bronze statue.
The four recumbent statues on the Wittelsbacherbrunnen in the Brunnenhof of the Residenz palace in the city center shall symbolize the four main Bavarian rivers: Donau, Isar, Inn and Lech.
Due to weathing of the fountain base it is unfortunately not quite clear which of these figures represents which river exactly.
BTW: Munich has 2 fountains named Wittelsbacherbrunnen, the other is located on the Lenbachplatz square.

A roughly 180° panorama of Munich's Karlsplatz aka Stachus.
The Karlsplatz is a round square in central Munich. The square was officially named Karlsplatz in 1797, but Munich natives seldom use that name, calling the square instead Stachus, after the former pub "Beim Stachus" that once was located there.
Even the U-Bahn and S-Bahn announcements use the unofficial name.
The Karlstor in the center of the picture is one of the remaining medieval Munich city gates, first mentioned in AD 1302. Today it forms the western end of the pedestrians zone towards the Karlsplatz.
