One of the privileges of my job is to see many interesting places in Europe and beyond. Unfortunately schedules are mainly very tight and there is no time to make use of the camera. This week I had a couple of appointments in Belgium in the Province of Oost Vlaanderen. A business partner showed me around in Gent, besides Bruges the second pearl of the area. I enjoyed a great time in this beautiful city.

Un lugar muy fotogénico al que no consigo hacerle unan foto a mi gusto, el día y la luz no se pusieron de mi parte. Seguiré intentándolo en mi próxima visita.
La Isla Pancha (Illa Pancha) en la costa del municipio de Ribadeo. Mide 1,1 hectáreas y es de orografía muy escarpada y recortada, si bien de cima llana, donde está instalado un importante faro construido en 1857. Está unida a tierra firme por un estrecho puente.

No lejos de las ruinas de Castrotorafe, aguas abajo siguiendo el curso del río Esla, nos encontramos con este viejo molino de La Estrella.
Aceña que ha desafiado los avatares del tiempo y, a pesar de llevar mas de 80 años sumergido bajo las aguas del pantano de Ricobayo, hoy mantiene en pie la mayor parte de sus muros, constituyendo un verdadero ejemplo de arquitectura popular de tiempos pasados.
Cuando el embalse baja su nivel de agua se puede apreciar en todos su esplendor.
