"Whenever There is a Need for a Guest at Your Pool Party....She Will be There"
When this young lady returned from a friend's pool party with this exquisite face painting, I knew she would be (if she allowed it) the subject for today's photograph. After bribing her with promise of a walk, she agreed to sit (stand) for a portrait. Our lighting is a "standard" 3-light set-up. There is a gridded beauty dish in front (hence the catchlight in her eyes), and a gridded strip bank on both sides, at about 45 degrees. These two lights in the back supply the edge of light all along her sides, and that slice of light along her left cheek. I did a little toning and created a lens flare in post....and there it is. If our young subject had given me the time, I might have colored the lights and added some smoke. Regardless, I am happy with the portrait. Thanks for wondering by!!
