Still looking back for unposted or unprocessed waterfowl shots especially those in a preening pose.
Edmonton, Alberta.
The Shoveler (Anas clypeata) is a holarctic bird of the duck family (Anatidae). It is only a little smaller than the well-known mallard. The drake has in the splendor dress a strikingly high-contrast plumage. In its coloring it remotely reminds of that of the Brandgans.
I really like the fine vermiculation pattern on the back and side pocket feathers.
St. Albert, Alberta.

This is the end of Sv. Ana valley, finishing with the Ljubelj / Loibl Pass. Actually, the creek of Mošenik has its source in the valley below my stand point. Sta. Anna church stands on the sunlit meadow, there the road tunnel enters the main ridge of Karawanks mountains. On the left is the E summit of Begunjščica, right of it are the slopes towards Zelenica meadow, Behind are the towers of Ljubeljščica and Na Možeh.
