Cape Perpetua overlook rock shelter.

The cloudy, misty rain day kind of killed the views, but make for some dramatic whiteout backdrop.

I have lived almost all my life in Oregon, driven past this area dozens and dozens of times, but never knew about it. While looking for info about a sea cave, I ran across some info about it.

Built in the 1930's by the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps), it was used as a lookout during WW2, and now part of a trail system on the coast.

FYI, you'll need an America the Beautiful Pass, or pay the day use fee if you visit.
