The Fram (‘Forward’) is a three-masted schooner (1892) designed by the Scottish-Norwegian naval architect Colin Archer.
The Fram is a three-masted schooner with an overall length of 39 metres (127 feet 11 inches) and a beam of 11 metres (36 feet 1 inch). The ship is both exceptionally wide and exceptionally shallow to better withstand the forces of the ice. The disadvantage of this design was that it rolled more than most ships in heavy seas.
She was used on three historic polar expeditions:
Nansen Arctic Expedition (1893-1896).
Sverdrup's Arctic expedition (1898-1902).
Amundsen's South Pole expedition (1910-1912).
No other expedition yacht has gone further north or south. It was a milestone in exploration.

Ce navire est à la fois exceptionnellement large et exceptionnellement peu profond afin de mieux résister aux forces de la glace. L'inconvénient de cette conception est qu'il roulait plus que la plupart des navires par mer forte.
Il a servit à trois expéditions polaires historiques:
Expédition arctique de Nansen (1893-1896).
Expédition arctique de Sverdrup (1898-1902).
Expédition au pôle Sud d'Amundsen (1910-1912).
Aucun autre yacht d'expédition n'est allé plus loin au nord, ni plus loin au sud. Il a franchi des étapes importantes en matière d'exploration.

Today's shot kinda follows the same theme as yesterday. It's an old shot that I overlooked until now when I decided I could probably make something work with it. This shot is actually all the way back to 2011 when I was still shooting the D7000. That's 4 years from the time I shot it til I actually bothered to do anything with it. Hopefully it was worth the wait. Enjoy.

The morning starts with a Sunrise but where i am stood it's raining. Typical English weather.

The taste of snow and fresh foggy air.
In recent weeks (months), a high-pressure weather situation has spread to us that has made spring to summer and makes us feel very hot temperatures. Everyone says that is climate change!
In our state, it has never rained very much and never really hard in recent months and the crop losses are 40%.
In short words, I am so hot! Therefore, this beautiful winter picture to get lost in, something to cool off!

5976: River Expedition
This was pretty much just adding more to my original revamp of the set. A few tweaks were made here and there on the boat, the cave has been given more terrain and a little wooden walkway. Along with additional plant life too.
There is one merged element in this build. It's the sun disk in the cave. I kept it because I really liked the design I made for it.
