One of the many Valley Oaks thriving in the Monte Bello Open Preserve. The contrast between the clear blue sky and the crisp golden field below was something to marvel at on this sunny day.

COAST MODERN; a documentary film by Michael Bernard and Gavin Froome will take us on a journey from Los Angeles to Vancouver; from 1922 up to the present exploring modernist architecture on the West Coast.
I've never seen this color of green outside of California. You could probably make a tennis ball by rolling up an armful of the hillside. Mt. Diablo.
The sun barely peeks over the mountains surrounding Emerald Bay at the end of an autumn day. This smoky, hazy sunset is due to nearby wildfires.

A hiker crouches on one knee to compose his photo of Alamere Falls, one of two tidefalls in California.
A wintertime view of Noe Peak, the more southern of the Twin Peaks in San Francisco. Skateboarders and sunshine abound as we say, "what winter?" with temperatures in the 60s. I admired the way the hillside steps lit up under the cloudy sky that afternoon.
My previous visit to Point Bonita took place around noon - I attempted to battle direct sunlight by stacking neutral density filters together and ended up with a very noisy image.
As you can see, I just had to come back here to catch golden hour and give the Point its proper treatment. I love the tones in this photo and really find myself liking this viewpoint more and more.
