Better than you deserve!
Today at my home Church, Athey Creek, Pastor Brett began the book of Job.
_
As we read through the first part of Job, it's not only incredible to recall again all that Job lost, but equally how he responded in worship after losing everything!
_
Here's what he said and how he chose to respond: Job 1:20-22 ESV "Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head and fell on the ground and worshiped. And he said, “Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord. In all this Job did not sin or charge God with wrong."
_
I wonder what our response is or would be, when we face great adversity? Is it chaos or worship?
_
In today's message, we were reminded that no matter what we face, God's grace is greater and anything we face, no matter our circumstances, it's all better than we deserve. Through His love and grace, God gives us more than we deserve and we need to keep that in mind. I'm thankful for the reminder!
_
May we worship Him no matter what we face in this life!
