I Love Christmas. However, I was reminded of this song I heard a while back by Nat King Cole and honestly it has to be the most depressing “Christmas” song and honestly I don’t know why it’s considered a Christmas song anyway as it’s titled “the little boy who Santa Claus forgot”…and it tells a story of what Santa forgot to bring this little boy. As I recall he didn't get toys, didn't a family, etc.

Don’t waste your time googling it unless you feel like being depressed which is ridiculous. Don’t go there…it’s just a horrible song!

No, I’m not trying to depress you because in reality, Christmas should be full of celebration, joy, hope and wonder because God did not forget you and I!

He is Emanuel, God with us just as the Scripture says. Jesus is also the prince of peace and we celebrate His entry into the World during Christmas…the most incredible birth and birthday ever!
_
While I know it doesn’t always feel like the most wonderful time of the year as it can be a very tough time for many, my prayer for all of us is that we remember that God didn’t and won’t ever leave or forsake us. He sent Jesus to save us…to be Emanuel!
_
So, no matter how Christmas might feel at times, may you be filled with Hope this Christmas remembering God is with you, He loves you, He won’t ever leave of forsake you, He knows your name and knows what you’re going through. He is with you. Let Him be Emanuel to you because that is Who He is. Merry Christmas!

This statement made me laugh recently so I thought I'd share it with you. :) We are to walk by faith and not by site yet that doesn't mean we should stand idle unless God tells you too do so.
Sometimes we try to convince ourselves that inactivity in each circumstance is what we are to do but we forget that He's still prepared a work for us to do day-to-day and we need to walk in the work He has for us. If you are on the road God has for you, keep stepping out in faith lest you get run over by life my friends because life continues on at each juncture. :) Don't just stand there... Do something... Unless of course God has given you a season of rest and that's a different story. (hint... The trials and the hard times of life are for a real purpose...for your growth and good! Life as we know it comes with no shortage of trials, tests and hard times doesn't it?!
_
Growth comes in many forms and while we may not like the package it comes in sometimes, OK...many times, we can sure embrace it for what it is and grow though it!
_
I've become convinced over the years and communicated to others time and time again, that we need to start thinking of the "here we go again" times as the "here we GROW again" times as I've grown to affectionately think of them!
_
In other words, instead of being negative and have a "here we go again" mentality as if we're a victim, we need to get it into our hearts and minds and be as positive as we can and have a "here we GROW again" mentality instead.
_
It's all a matter of perspective and choice... How you choose to view trials and hard times is up to you!
_
So, what's it going to be for you going forward?
_
Will you be a victim or a victor!?
_
I pray you'll change your perspective and become the victor you are or can be in Christ!
_
Choose to grow!...and choose to bring Him glory through the times of growth!
_
May you choose to soar high above mediocrity choosing a more positive perspective toward growth through the many hard times...and help others do the same!
_

There's a Brooke Fraser song titled "Albertine" and within that song there's a sobering lyric that has stuck with me for years that states "now that I have seen, I am responsible, faith without deeds is dead".

This is so true and as follower's of Christ as well as from a practical standpoint as a we seek to be a good neighbor, co-worker, friend, etc, we have a responsibility to help others (within reason of course) once we know of or see a circumstance. We can always at least pray for others but if you saw someone running to cross the street and they didn't see a car heading their way...I certainly hope you and I would try to warn them or pull them out of harms way!
_
The same is applicable to spiritual danger, relationship danger, the danger of addiction financial danger and more.
_
This may be counter culture but the culture should never stop us from doing the right thing by lovingly reaching out with the hand of help toward our fellow man.
_
They may not accept the advice we give or heed the warning but at least you did your part to reach out and warn them of the impending danger you see them heading toward. It's also not getting into everyone's business or about being right, rather, it's an overall attitude of caring for others and Christ cares for us as He meets the spiritual, emotional and physical needs we have!
_
This especially applies to those with whom we have a relationship of some sort with and over time earn their respect and the right to speak into their lives and they in turn hopefully do the same toward us!
_
