Now designated as critically endangered, the Amur leopard is a leopard subspecies native to southeastern Russia and northern China. It is listed as Critically Endangered on the IUCN Red List. In 2007, only 19–26 wild leopards were estimated to survive in southeastern Russia and northeastern China due mainly to poaching.
It is hoped that this 2 year old beauty will help towards conservation of what is a very special big cat, though at present there are no female Amur Leopards available for him.

From a recent visit to Monkey World, Dorset, a Rescue & Rehabilitation Centre set up in 1987 to provide abused primate apes from all over the world with a permanent, stable home.
This shot was taken through a (scratched not very clean) glass screen; apologies for the loss in quality.

Another older image that was taken while on a trip to Isreal. This is the church of the Holy Sepulchre where the body of Jesus Christ was taken and placed into a tomb. Today was the Feast of the Three Magi or the Three Kings also known as the Epiphany. I thought this image was a good symbol of light and hope for the new year.

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a black and white day at Color my World Daily and we celebrate Sliders Sunday. And i feel like eggs are my bests friends this morning… Due to a massive hungover after a family celebration, I need some comfort food like eggs. After that, I will be back to my normal running / laundry folding / decluttering day…Or so i hope !

This is a Nasturtium flower about 1 inch in length. Taken late morning at the Melbourne Botanical Garden. It was in the shade and the dew drops are still present.
