Taking a water taxi around Venice as the sun is setting is a joy! Let the captain of the boat chose the route. Then just sit back and enjoy all of Venice in as little as one and half hours.

Sorry about all of the typos lately! I'm uploading photos a different way and it seems to misplace letters!

It's late afternoon and storm clouds are coming in, with a long drive back to Banff via the Icefields Parkway still ahead.

Thankfully the rain held off until I made it back to my warm and cosy hotel room!

A long exposure shot taken at the Belem tower in Lisbon as the sun rose, and before the tourists arrived. It reminds me what a wonderful spot Lisbon is. Must get back there pronto.

Encounter with a desert-adapted Black Rhino in the Damaraland, Namibia, on a walk.

This was a desired encounter. We were with 3 guides taking good care of us.

As the huge animal came too close, they chased it away with loud shouts.

Il ponte della Priula sul fiume PIAVE

Geografia .

Hibiscus is a genus of flowering plants in the mallow family, Malvaceae. The genus is quite large, comprising several hundred species that are native to warm temperate, subtropical and tropical regions throughout the world. Member species are renowned for their large, showy flowers and those species are commonly known simply as hibiscus, or less widely known as rose mallow. Other names include hardy hibiscus, rose of sharon, and tropical hibiscus. Several species are native to China. But due to hybridising activities of growers world wide there is now a magnificent range of available flower colours. It loves sun, warm climate and have a couple of flowering flushes, usually in spring and autumn. 47051

Late afternoon light in the Valley of the Gods near Mexican Hat, Utah. A very sandy and bumpy seventeen-mile dirt and gravel road winds through the valley leading to spectacular isolated buttes, towering pinnacles and wide open spaces that seem to go on forever.

The New York Court of Appeals Building, officially referred to as Court of Appeals Hall, is located at the corner of Eagle and Pine streets in central Albany, New York, United States. It is a stone Greek Revival building designed in the mid-19th century by Henry Rector. In 1971 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, one of six buildings housing a state's highest court currently so recognized.[note 1] Seven years later it was included as a contributing property when the Lafayette Park Historic District was listed on the Register.

At the time it was built it was known simply as the State Hall
