The Baie de l'Isle-Verte National Wildlife Area (NWA) encompasses a broad expanse of marshland lying on the south shore of the Upper Estuary of the St. Lawrence River 30 km northeast of Rivière-du-Loup. With an area of 406 ha, it covers a riparian strip running some 20 km along the St. Lawrence. I trekked down to Laguna Beach this evening in hopes of catching some cloud coverage, but alas it wasn't meant to be. The tide was at its lowest level exposing this crevice. I climbed down in and setup my comp over the water. It wasn't until I returned home and started processing that I noticed this little fella hiding in the shadows. No photoshop trickery here this is the actual photo with minor processing. The hair stood up on the back of my neck momentarily when I noticed him there on the right side my composition.
Thank you for taking the time to visit and as always, your views, comments, faves, and support are greatly appreciated!! :) Have a great day everybody. :)
If you have any questions about this photo or about photography in general, I will do my best to help, just post a comment or send me a Flickr mail and I will respond as quickly as possible.
I finally got the time to enjoy a day out in a beautiful autumn landscape. One of the places I visited were Strømsfoss pier, with steamboats as daily in the summertime transport is arranged on the Halden canal. Strømsfoss, Østfold, Norway.

Walkers strolling along the Boardwalk in the Yellowstone's Midway Geyser Basin. The Grand Prismatic Spring is magnificent as seen from the chalky, steep, treacherous hill to it's SW.
The Opal and Turquoise pools are above it with the Excelsior pool steaming to the right.
Thank you for taking a look!

Pictured here is a view of the historic Eastern Point Lighthouse. The Eastern Point light is located along the shores of Cape Ann in North Eastern Massachusetts. The lighthouse was originally constructed in 1832 on the east side of Gloucester Harbor.
This is the sixth in a series of images from my trip w/ First Light Photography's Bill Rudock to the New England coast.

"Eastern Point" is an HDR image constructed from 3 separate shots, with a differential of 2 stops between images.
The resulting HDR image was processed to have a painterly look using a combination of ACR, Photomatix, and Photoshop (includes the use of Topaz Labs plugins -- Adjust, Clean, Denoise, Glow, Impression and LensFX).

One of the most beautiful forests in Europe is located on the South-East slope of the "Barranco de Borrué" and, opposite to it, along the track betwen Fanlo and Buesa trhough "La Pardina del Señor" (Huesca, Aragón, España). Taking pictures of that slope is a challenge because the light is either dull and low, or an elevated annoying backlight. This calls for good lenses (which is far from my case!), low ISO and a tripod. It's a real color binge.
No safari is complete without a nice shot of a Lilac Breasted Roller.

A prosperous establishment of the early 1870's, with an elegant Mansard roof, small tower and iron grillwork. Sign of the growth associated with the construction of the Third Welland Canal (1871-1882). Its neighbour, 325 St. Paul St., is a well maintained example of the same period
