This star trail is about 70 images which I have added as a separate layer masking out the night sky in this single shot using a LED torch to light paint the foreground which I cut off at the horizon.

The last morning of the cold days early 2017. The oak tree still standing and illuminated and the weather was beautiful. The art is a cloud texture which fits for my purposes quite well.

Located in the state of Schleswig-Holstein, in northern Germany, Lübeck is the last major town before reaching the border with Denmark. It is located on the banks of the Trave river with the largest German Baltic Sea port, and one of the largest in Europe. But if anything stands Lubeck is to be one of the most beautiful medieval cities on the continent.

It's late afternoon and storm clouds are coming in, with a long drive back to Banff via the Icefields Parkway still ahead.
Thankfully the rain held off until I made it back to my warm and cosy hotel room!
Built in AD 150, this is the monumental gateway to the Temple of Artemis. It was originally flanked by shops.
You can descend through the temple's gateway, the propylaeum. If you want to get a sense of the complete extent of Jerash, head towards the North Gate for further views.
A long exposure shot taken at the Belem tower in Lisbon as the sun rose, and before the tourists arrived. It reminds me what a wonderful spot Lisbon is. Must get back there pronto.
