Yeah, it makes no sense. I'm on a zippered pouch making tear right now. Here's the first one, with this patch that I think is so cute! Final measurements are 7"x4".
I used the twelve22 zipper pouch tutorial to make this one.

Zippered pouch with "fabric" from plastic bags that cover The New York Times newspapers when the weather is a less than perfect. Layers of the plastic bags are fused together and then sewn into a pouch, complete with zipper. If you look at the images on the side, you can even see some of the print on the plastic bags peeking through!

I put on my big girl pants and made my first zippered pouch. While it's not perfect, it does zip open and closed, so I hope my partner will overlook it's flaws and take them for charming features. I plumped up the scraps a bit to make up for the novice zipper skills :)
I love this pouch. It is rare I make something just for me. But I did! and I love it. He is so sweet!

A little something for me this holiday season. I started a new weekly craft night with a friend, so I made this pouch to tote my sewing and knitting supplies to and from our meetings. The front features 3 "spools" in rainbow colors, with a little machine and hand stitching on the back. Blogged at:
