Practice pouch for Mouthy Stitches - this is my second pouch I`ve made using the great tutorial by Kelby Sews. Very straightforward. Now I can concentrate on designing a pouch for my partner!

This is the medium Open Wide Pouch by Noodlehead. It will be going to my swap partner in the Sweet and Salty Easter Swap. Loved making the Dresden for this!
Boxed Zippered Pouch made from Metropolis Block.
Pouch measures approximately 8 1/2" wide, 5" tall & 2" deep.
Quilted Block size was 14 1/2"

Diaper Pouch - approx. 5" H x 9 1/4" w x 2 1/4" d - was made from a 15 1/2" (unfinished) square quilt block. Block pattern is a variation of Elizabeth Hartman's Metropolis block from her book Modern Patchwork. Used Quilter's Dream 70/30 Poly/Cotton blend as the batting for the pouch. I like the firmness this batting gave the pouch.

To quilt the pouch & bib, I used Isacord's Tulip Multicolor Variegated thread purchased from Bernina of Dallas www.bestofbernina.com/ which added a really nice but subtle extra detail.
Changing Mat is 16" x 20" backed with a flannel backed vinyl from JoAnn's.
Bib pattern is from One Yard Wonders.
Burp Cloths have 4 layers of flannel for extra absorbency (2 plain layers between the pretty exterior layers). They were made using Cloud 9's Contoured Burp cloth tutorial cloud9fabrics.blogspot.com/2010/12/tutorial-contoured-bur...

The pouch is large enough to hold the changing pad, a couple of diapers & a travel sized package of wipes. Wet Bag is large enough to hold a couple of dirty onesies. Tote is huge & has 4 exterior & 7 interior pockets (one with a Velcro closure.
Pouch is made from a 15 1/2" quilted square, Changing Pad is a variation of the one in the Grab 'n' Go Diaper Clutch Pattern by Sew Fun, Wet Bag is my own design, Bib pattern is from One Yard Wonders, Contoured Burp Cloth is from Cloud 9's Contoured Burp cloth tutorial , Tote is a variation of the Farmer's Market Tote by Oil Cloth Addict.

I started and finished my sew together bag yesterday. I'd say it took two hours or so to complete. I'm pretty smitten with it and kind of want to run home to make another one right now!

This is a pattern based on Tea Bag by Laurraine Yuyama of Patchwork Pottery. This pattern is too cute, I did change the zipper application because I wanted the zipper to set down rather than appear on top. I also used my embridery machine to write "tea" on the tag. Loads of fun to make but not big enough to carry much, but good place to stash some emergency money/change. My mom loved it.

Totes measure approximately 15" w x 12" tall. Pouch is approximately 7 1/2" w x 6" tall.
Fabrics purchased from City Craft www.citycraftonline.com/ include Black & Orange ruffled fabric, Bicycles in black by The Henley Studio, pouch lining is a Michael Miller mini mike's black & white hounds tooth.

Zippered pouch is a basic lined pouch made to fit a scrap piece of ruffled fabric. Pouch lining is interfaced with fusible fleece.
Note that because this ruffled fabric is striped & not a solid, I did have to cut separate front & back pieces for the tote so the ruffles hung the right way on both sides.
Ruffled fabric is opaque so be sure to trim your seams nicely as they might show a bit on things like zippered pouches.
