Burp Cloths are made from the Riley Blake Flannel Basics line. They include Medium Chevron & Medium Dots in Girl, Medium Chevron & Medium Dots in Hot Pink. They were purchased from Hawthorne Threads www.hawthornethreads.com/
Diaper Pouch - approx. 5" H x 9 1/4" w x 2 1/4" d - was made from a 15 1/2" (unfinished) square quilt block. Block pattern is a variation of Elizabeth Hartman's Metropolis block from her book Modern Patchwork. Used Quilter's Dream 70/30 Poly/Cotton blend as the batting for the pouch. I like the firmness this batting gave the pouch.

To quilt the pouch & bib, I used Isacord's Tulip Multicolor Variegated thread purchased from Bernina of Dallas www.bestofbernina.com/ which added a really nice but subtle extra detail.
Changing Mat is 16" x 20" backed with a flannel backed vinyl from JoAnn's.
Bib pattern is from One Yard Wonders.
Burp Cloths have 4 layers of flannel for extra absorbency (2 plain layers between the pretty exterior layers). They were made using Cloud 9's Contoured Burp cloth tutorial cloud9fabrics.blogspot.com/2010/12/tutorial-contoured-bur...

I thoroughly enjoyed sewing with this beautiful line of fabrics. I'm in love with her main print - the one on the apron. These pictures do not do justice to the colors in her fabrics.
Zippered pouches come in many styles and sizes. In this class, we'll make two different styles while learning to use the zipper foot. We'll make these pouches with a lining so they'll be cute inside and out. We'll discuss how to resize and alter the patterns so you can make a pencil case, a travel case and more. You'll quickly be zipping up everything is sight.

This is a zipper pouch made from the denim of a pair of Uniqlo jeans. The denim is heavyweight and 100% cotton. There are 2 Westie appliques (one on the front, one on the back) which were created using an exclusive cotton fabric Westie print designed by me, printed through Spoonflower. The bag has black cotton lining and closes with a medium blue zipper.
The front applique is my dear Westie, Dexter sitting and looking innocent (he's totally not!) The back applique is Dexter looking over his shoulder as if to say, "Are you gonna walk me or not? Come on!!" hehe
This bag can be used for a ton of things. If you're of the female persuasion, you could store makeup, hair accessories, jewelry... or you could use them for your canine friend and store treats, a leash, dog baggies, etc.
Measurements:
The bag is approximately 6.5" long at its widest point and is 5" tall. The bottom is 2" wide.

Pouch measures approximately 8 1/2" wide, 5" tall & 2" deep.
Quilted Block size was 14 1/2"
