Irizar has made some headway in the Swiss battery-electric bus market, with a handful more in service in the adjacent Liechtenstein. In the Swiss capital Bern, 14 articulated examples are currently in service with an order for 19 shorter 12m models in hand. The artics seem to work route 21 between the central station and Bremgarten. Although the Bernmobil livery is simple, it looks well enough on these buses. Here bus 241 loads at the central station.
In the movie about the EV 1.0, Who Killed the Electric Car?, Bob Sexton observes that electric cars are clean for the repair crew as well. No oil or grime.

VDL introduced its new generation Citea battery-electric in 2023. I believe that the manufacturer's home city of Eindhoven was the first place anywhere to see this model in service, in its LF-122 form, although they are seemingly built in VDL's factory in Roeselare in Belgium. As is always the case with new-model battery-electrics, big promises are made about range. Here bus 2161 of Hermes is seen near Eindhoven Centraal Station while operating a 7 journey to Veldhoven.
