ZERO magic at the 'Noise Lane' concert of the Exponent 2006 event of the Narsee Monji Institute Of Management Studies (NMIMS).
Oops. I already bought a second. Her name's Yuki, and she's a Juvisy.
They look like they're getting along... ish. Yuki's a little too overpowering for Zero, who doesn't particularly like company.

The live finals of the 2016 Zero Robotics High School Tournament took place on the International Space Station on 27 January 2017. More than 100 students aged between 14 and 20 years old from across Europe met at ESA’s Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) in the Netherlands. From there, students connected to the ISS, as well as to parallel events taking place in the USA and Australia. This is the fifth time that the ISS has been turned into a gaming platform for the ultimate game of robotics.

This Mitsubishi A6M “Zero” or “Zeke” was Japan’s most popular and lethal airplane during WWII. Between 1937 and 1945, 11,500 “Zero’s” were built. The “Zero” fighter’s wings were armored with twin 20mm guns. It is suspected that this plane was damaged during a dogfight during Operation DESECRATE ONE on March 30 to 31, 1944. The plane landed on the shallow reef with the gear up and the engine feathered. One propeller sticks up above the water; the other two are buried in the reef. The straight propeller indicates that it was not rotating when the plane landed.

Growing up in NYC I was taught to demonize Japan and Germany because they were allied against us. Here are pictures of Friedhelm Schulz's Mailart Museum in Einbeck Germany and Katsushige Nakahashi's assemblage of photographs representing a Japanese WW II Zero fighter plane as displayed in Minneapolis at the Walker Art Center.
Nakahashi built a full-scale replica of the Japanese Zero airplane that was used in the attack of Pearl Harbor and subsequently crash-landed on Ni'ihau. Nakahashi meticulously photographed every square inch of a 1:32 scale model of the Zero and subsequently produced 25,000 full-scale images taped together to create the life-sized plane. On the last day of the exhibition, the Zero was carried from the gallery and burned at an undisclosed location.

My newest photo project - Parking lot Jetsam.
We all park and go to the stores or...; so when not checking out vanity license plates, I looked for interesting discarded items on the ground.

Most graffiti are only scratches, but here it is real art.
Between two buildings - at the Zuiderhagen - is an empty space, used as a private parking. On one of the walls you can see artwork, titled "Zero Tolerance!".
One morning in 1970 I stepped off the curb and was almost hit by a motorcycle I didn't hear coming, a Yamaha frame with a 12 V car battery and electric motor that might have come out of the Granger catalog. My friend's new Zero is far cooler, but you do hear a faint whine when he accerates rapidly (0 to 60 mph in 4.3 secs). Berkeley. September, 2015.
