The official/unofficial Center of Spain. All the highways are said to originate from here, just across the street from Sol.
A firework, captured with a Zero Image 6x9 MF loaded with Kodak Portra 160. Exposed for the time of the display. To be fair, I am not sure this is the most photogenic of fireworks.
The live finals of the 2016 Zero Robotics High School Tournament took place on the International Space Station on 27 January 2017. More than 100 students aged between 14 and 20 years old from across Europe met at ESA’s Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) in the Netherlands. From there, students connected to the ISS, as well as to parallel events taking place in the USA and Australia. This is the fifth time that the ISS has been turned into a gaming platform for the ultimate game of robotics.
One of many shots taken at the utterly maginificent Cathar castle of Peyrepertuse in the French Pyrenees.
The castle occupies an amazing sight on top of a ridge dominating the surrounding valleys. From the castle you can also see the equally magnificent Queribus. We arrived at the castle in late afternoon and were immediately glad we had not arrived in the heat of the day, its a long trek to the castle.

All Time Favorite: I generally don't do a very good job at capturing people, and especially at capturing emotion. This is one of the few times I have done both.

GROUND ZERO = Toronto
At least according to this map from the last practice drills at the Prime Minister's nuclear bomb shelter!
Ah...heaven indeed, for the last forty years (just a little older than me). Captain America's Hamburger Heaven is a Norwich institution. Serving up burgers, ribs, dogs in the center of Norwich, along with milkshakes, beer and cocktails. This was shot one Saturday lunchtime with A and my mother...needless to say my burger was awesome.
