Ground Zero with the new WTC under construction in New York City, USA. Pinhole image shot with a Zero Image 69 pinhole camera on Ilford FP4+ film delveloped in Xtol. The "double exposure" comes from a reflection in the windows of the hotel room from which I took the picture.
This picture was taken by Jennifer Cohn in June 2007. It is of the Ground Zero site in New York City.
It could be used to address NC SCOS Fifth Grade Goal 4.05 Describe the impact of wars and conflicts on United States citizens, including but not limited to, the Civil War, World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, Persian Gulf War, and the twenty-first century war on terrorism.
The teacher could show this when teaching about the terrible events of 9/11.

An unforgettable trip to New York: invited to a friend's wedding, I surprised my wife a few minutes later than this shot in Battery Park, asking her to marry me at City Hall in a matter of 2 days. So New York became our second hometown after Rome, Italy.
I admit my wife-to-be suggested the shot...

Zero to 100 (Black and White)
I wasn't sure whether to share the 'bronzed' version, or this 'B/W' version.
Oh well, since we're on a black and white themed topic, I decided on this one.
Craig is a 100 and 400 mtr sprinter, and a heck of a top bloke as well. I think I'll add patience to his list of traits......since he put up with lots of different lighting setups during this shoot.
He's lit with three speedlites, back left/ back right @ 45degrees facing camera, and the third is high in front directing light down over his body to show some landscaping. The lighting isn't exactly how I wanted it in my mind, there is lots of room for improvement, maybe next time I hope.
