With the (relatively) recent arrival of Horizon: Zero Dawn to PC giving me a chance to play the game, and the new Tallneck set, I thought I’d try my hand at some more of the machines from the game - here’s the Corrupter, in (roughly) minifig scale.
Bandai's reissued old kit of the Cosmo Zero from the anime 'Space Battleship Yamato'. It's approximately 1/72 scale. The decals comes from the Hasegawa Egg F-15 kit. The stand is actually a doll stand, so not part of the kit.

Now, this is pretty rare. I was told that this Mitsubishi Zero is the specimen that was captured intact on the island of Tinian at the end of WW II and is still flying with the origninal engine. I can’t vouch for that but it certainly looked nice. I got a static single image shot on the taxiway and processed it as a single-frame HDR. I will post airborn images later.
This is what maks the Chino Air Show so unique. It is located right at the Planes of Fame and Yankee museums and in a hot bed of warbirds, racers and plane restoration enthusiasts. It is located out in the middle of diary farms not far south and east of the Los Angeles County Fairgrounds (which is closer to Riverside County than Los Angeles) and not far from the Ontairo International Airport. It is only about 20 miles from me so I could get up at 03:00 and get there with plenty of time to spare for an 05:30 access time for “photographers”. The spectators gates opened at 08:30.
The Zero has a quite unique look and all of the details are quite different from the contemporary US aircraft. I am glad this one was present and flew for the crowd. I was also pleased at the way the HDR treatment turned out.

The Melrose Running Club's Sunday Long Run was 17 miles in sub-zero (-7 warming to -2) temperatures We ran a clover leaf pattern, coming back to the Melrose Knights of Columbus Hall for warm water stops every 3-4 miles

The live finals of the 2016 Zero Robotics High School Tournament took place on the International Space Station on 27 January 2017. More than 100 students aged between 14 and 20 years old from across Europe met at ESA’s Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) in the Netherlands. From there, students connected to the ISS, as well as to parallel events taking place in the USA and Australia. This is the fifth time that the ISS has been turned into a gaming platform for the ultimate game of robotics.

The "Year Zero" CD from Nine Inch Nails has a heat sensitive coating on the CD, meaning that you put a black CD into your player with the "Year Zero" logo on it in white writing and when the CD is finished playing you have a white CD with "nine inch nails" in black writing on it....
Basically, for this shot, I rubbed my finger across the nine inch nails writing on the CD until you could see it, then fired off a few shots... these are both the same shot, just processed differently in Adobe Lightroom.... Just changed the WB temp and tint to get the different effects...
